About this ebook
Day in and day out, I saw young adults making horrible choices that altered their lives forever. They didnt realize what power they had to control their lives. Even at a young age, they had more power than they gave themselves credit. They can alter their destiny for good or bad. It is all up to their attitudes and their choices.
This book is intended to help people 12 years of age and older work through the difficulties in their life. It is an eye opening book of true stories that is designed to help people realize the impact of their choices. Their choices not only impact themselves, but others around them.
I wish I read a book similar to this book, when I was younger. It would have helped me put things into perspective!

Introduction
Day in and day out, I saw young adults making horrible choices that altered their life forever. I could see that they didn’t even realize what power they had to control their lives. Even at a young age, they had more power than they gave themselves credit. They could alter their destiny for good or bad. It is all determined by their attitude and their choices.
I saw so many people from good families totally wreck their future. Then to the contrary, despite terrible odds, some people overcame horrible circumstances and succeed.
Through analysis, I started to realize that the common factor to all of the stories, good or bad, was attitude and choices. I thought about writing this book for many years. If this book can help even one person realize that their choices and attitude have a huge impact on their future success or failure, then I’ll consider this book a success.
It is filled with true, real life stories. Some of the stories aren’t pretty, but then sometimes neither is life. It’s our perseverance that will ultimately help us.
Dedication
This book is dedicated to my brother, John. Out of my five siblings, he was the one who always took the time to listen to me and play with me. He had a simple kindness that you don’t find in most people. It’s sad that everything can change in a New York minute. His life has taught me many lessons and has opened my eyes to how our choices can quickly change our destiny in a microsecond.
