About this ebook

TESTIFY is not just a book of poems but testimonies of truth, unconditional love and faith. Alex Christopher Smith leave you with these words from TESTIFY:

BEAUTY, she walks across the grass and looks beyond the sparkling lake as her beauty guides her upon the sleeping woods. Her beauty sparkles like the glistening of the evening sea, but she is on guard and has God all through her yard. He is her protector and intercessor....

Alex Christopher Smith

I’m originally from Hartford Connecticut but I’m currently living in Virginia, and have been in Virginia for over ten years. I met my beautiful wife Erica Smith in Virginia which we both enjoy writing. I have an older sister and younger brother; my mother also stays in Virginia. I have been writing poetry since my early teens and it’s not just poetry to me, it’s a ministry. I am a minister at Kingdom International Ministries, and my goal is to show God’s love through my poetry. God’s love is real and it’s a permanent seal; enjoy this journey through poetry.

    3 IN THE MORNING

I travel the roads that seem to go nowhere, my heart is overwhelmed from so many people’s tears; too many times I fear. As I travel beyond the shores it seems someone is knocking at the doors; trapped in my mind like opened sores that won’t stop bleeding, Lord I’m pleading help! In the bed I’m sleepless; they say count sheep but I’m sheep less. My mind is tangled up in the web of my own situations, but at 3 in the morning God gives me concentration; he guides me from the bed, and finding myself led by the Holy Spirit. There is something about 3 in the morning, in the evening there is so much noise; so many distractions interactions. At night I fight beyond my sight, waiting for that joy that calls me in the silent morning; his warmth gives me glory. I toss back and forth struggling and waiting for God’s sweetness, that this sugar is not sweet and low; but the Great God I know, and not ashamed to show. 3 in the morning I’m awake getting a promise that only Christ can make, we dance in the night; praise and worship all through the flight. We touch the night as the enemy tries to fight, what’s wrong with the devil; his temptations mean nothing to me, can’t he see? All I can say is if you worry pray, and if you don’t worry pray; it’s like JELLO, you always have room for prayer. Don’t fake a cake but make a cake, God’s frosting is within you; his neatness is his sweetness. There is something about 3 in the morning, you can hear his voice; and if you want to raise your hands, make sure you understand, it is Christ the pilot, don’t be quick to land, but quick to enter his center. Glory be to God, In 3 in the morning I will always go to the inner court which is a Holy place that the devil can’t trace, and he’s all tied up like a shoe lace. There is something about 3 in the morning . . . .
