He is dedicated to fulfilling his vision of building a community as outlined in the New Testament where dedicated Christians can uphold the ways of Jesus Christ and witness others doing the same. Norwood currently resides in Tampa Florida. This is his second book of poems.

A Day of Peace

I will make this a day of peace.

Though troubles are many, I’ll push them aside.

I’ll cling to his grace until the storms cease,

While in his word I’ll hide.

I’ll bathe in the sun of his righteousness

And rest in the hammock of his might.

My salvation I will continue to confess

As his wisdom guides me through the night.

I’ll relax in the shade of his power

As his flower of mercy renders flavor.

I’ll walk in his peace from hour to hour,

For in me, the Lord has found favor.

I’ll sing praises of his majesty

That he may have habitation.

His word I will keep holy

As I show thanks for my salvation.

A Secret Place

Make for yourself a secret place—

A place to get away from it all.

Make it into a prayer closet.

Make it with or without walls.

Enter in without making fanfare.
