CHAPTER ONE

The mindset of how wars are funded

Many admire the courage and determination of the army. Others too are passionate about their discipline; whilst many more love their unity and comradeship. But one thing most people miss is there is a strong foundation upon which they stand that causes them to exhibit such virtues. Such ground gives them the assurance to launch into the deep wholeheartedly, without fear or intimidation.

So what is this unique foundation? What is this mindset that causes them to be rest assured?

Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? ....

1 Corinthians 9:7

That is the assurance that gives a soldier an upper hand in everything he does. The guarantee that comes from the mindset that anytime he is going to fight for his nation, he does not need to think about the expenses. He knows that his armory, salary, benefits, etc. are provided for. He knows that anything that pertains to the warfare will be provided for by the government from the coffers of the nation through the taxes it had received from the people of that country.

He also understands that should he die in the battle, his family will not suffer. There is an insurance cover for him and his family.

Nobody questions why the military is provided for in such a way. The reason is it seems to dawn on everybody that soldiers risk their lives to fight for the nation, continent or the world.

Non-Christians have fully embraced the philosophy of sponsoring wars. It is fully engrained in their minds. They apply the principles of sponsoring wars to the comrades that are doing the job for them.

You see, worldly people are serving the kingdom of darkness, whose leader is Satan. They subconsciously know that they are at war with the Kingdom of Heaven. They know that their activities are divergent from godliness. They know they are fighting the things of God. They have the mindset of the military. They understand that they are really waging fierce wars against Christianity. They have that mindset of warfare.

In furtherance to this, they have the mindset of the weapons they need. They know that ungodly movies, secular songs, ungodly sporting activities, production and promotion of narcotic and alcoholic beverages etc. are their arsenals to fight godliness. They know – they have that mindset!

But that is not all. They know that those who are at the forefront of the war against godliness must NEVER fund this warfare; and that it is up to them to fund it, and to make sure that their soldiers feel comfortable to wage war against the Kingdom of God.

Consequently, with this mindset of war and how it is funded, they sponsor those who are at forefront of the battle. They also make sure that such fighters are comfortable to wage war against godliness.

So you will notice that secular musicians, actors, actresses, disk jokers, ungodly comedians etc are sponsored and promoted so highly that one does not really understand the reason. Brethren, that is the reason: their sponsors see them as soldiers at the frontline of the battle, fighting against godliness; and that is why they promote them.

But it is sad that most Christians have not caught this revelation to walk in that wisdom. It is no wonder that the Lord Jesus Christ made an astonishing statement that when it comes to the mindset of sponsoring war, the worldly people are wiser (in helping their own ungodly soldiers) than us. How sad!
