It is a fact SATAN is our enemy, not people. Tragically, however, we
sometimes think of Satan as more of a doctrine than a reality. Often we
major on Bible doctrine and we get bogged down with doctrine. For
example, the Holy Spirit. What is He? He is a Doctrine? Oh no! He is not
a doctrine! He is God, and the spirit and power of God. Satan is not an imagination; he is not a theory; he is not a doctrine. The world mostly treats the
devil as a myth. And unless we are careful, we also could be inclined to
treat him so. Yes, we know he is the devil, but aren’t we very vague
about his activity?

In Ephesians we have three refences to Satan. “The prince of the power
of the air” (2.2), “ The devil” (4:27), “The evil one” (6:16); and in
chapter 6 we are warned also of spiritual powers that contest our
spiritual walk; very powerful forces of evil and organized, and work in a
very governmental type of way. Satan’s world-forces are more organized
than the best army in the world. SATAN is the chief of the evil hosts.
Under him, there are RULERS. These are very intelligent demonic beings.
Some evil spirts are much higher than others. There are various
categories or levels of demons. Some of these evil creatures are already
in chains of darkness (Jude 6). But it’s those who are still operating in
the realm of men, that we confront. Then there are PRINCIPALITIES and
POWERS – demonic princes in charge of areas, communities and people
groups. Under the authority of Satan, they form a governmental structure.
In this book, I discuss how to wage spiritual warfare, and I share with
you KEYS and Strategies of how to live a victorious
Christian life against the devil.

Author
Prior Tafirenyika is an author born in the early 80’s, was a
successful business man, before he become a pastor. Tafirenyika ad
dresses critical issues affecting individual’s spiritual life’s experiences drawing much
attention from his family background in which his grandfather practiced witchcraft to its highest level. Due to lack of knowledge by the other family members the Tafirenyika clan came to an end with
only a few members of the family being alive as to date
(Hosea 4:6). Prior was always encouraged to start a new generation
by his mother Pastor Unice just with the story of Jabez
(1 Chronicles 4vs9-10).

The contents of this book can revolutionize your life and activate you to become a mighty warrior, a fighter, a soldier in the army of Jesus Christ. God wants us to understand and use the great weapons of spiritual war that are revealed in His word and His voice to be heard as we arise to subdue and silence Satan and his demons in all areas of life.

The subject of Spiritual Warfare is one of the most controversial and confusing subjects that Christians have encountered. The pathetic fact is that Christians have many times been guilty of not looking into the written Word of God to consider what it says on this subject. Yet the word of God explained that Satan is a highly organized, intelligent spirit being dedicated to destroy believers. He is the master deceiver and the author of idolatry, seeking to bring the whole world under his dominion by undermining our Lord Jesus Christ, faith in God, twisting values, and promoting false ideologies. He does this through infiltrating institutions, government administrations, communications media, educational systems, and the body of Christ (Church administrations). He seeks to divert mankind from worship of the Lord Jesus Christ through substitution of money, fame, power, pleasure, science, art, and politics both in churches and the world, or religious idols.

Most of us we feel a kind of reticence in considering the operation of Satan and his kingdom. There is a hesitation, a kind of trepidation (fear) on our part to delve into the realm of the spirit world an area of reality, we prefer to avoid. Nonetheless, it is part of the spiritual warfare with which we must daily contend as believers, and so we would do well to understand as much as we can since, in war, it may prove disastrous to be without accurate intelligence of the enemy and his forces. Granted that we do not want to give way to an unhealthy fascination with this realm, we must still be willing to venture into it with the light of Scripture, the leading of the Holy Spirit and without fear because we have nothing to fear. Jesus Christ said, "I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you" (Luke. 10:19). His disciples returned from their first active combat encounter with the demonic realm joyfully exclaiming, "Even the demons are subject to US IN YOUR NAME!" (Luke. 10:7)

And the Apostle John encourages us that "Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world" (1John. 4:4). True, we can live in blissful ignorance of our enemy and his tactics like children too afraid to venture into a darkened attic, but with the light of God’s word and faith in his guidance and protection, we will discover in a new way the power and prerogatives Jesus Christ has given us to joyously and victoriously deal with the forces of darkness, powers, principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. In this book KEYS AND STRATEGIES OF SPIRITUAL WAREFARE we will endeavor to better understand this opaque dimension in order to more effectively combat it in light of Scripture and the spirit around the world.

The book opens with an anecdote The reality of the invisible war as I see it that takes the bibliophile straight into the warzone that the reader is already in the midst of. The capable writer do not mince the truth but is polite enough to leave us with the choice of keeping on flogging a dead horse by wrestling the visible but unreal enemy. Throughout the book, the writer make it clear that reality is relative to vision and that the real enemy is the devil and his demons, all of whom are not kind to the ignorant believer but pry and preys on the ignorance fodder to inflict unimaginable damage to unsuspecting God’s children. When a believer cedes power to the devil, he is happy to anoint himself as the referee in the war-room as brother fights brother and dog eats dog. In this struggle, no one can hide behind their title (bishop, overseer, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, elder, deacon, chairperson etc.) and indeed many giants have fallen by the way-side when they either under-estimated or over-glorified the enemy. The book is a brutal (clearly the gentle jolt has only massaged us into deep sleep) reminder of THE BOOK’s (biblios) eye-opening keys and strategies of spiritual warfare. Having endured harassment and a tough beating from the devil, it’s no longer a question of if or when we need such keys and strategies but how fast and best we can access them to with- (keys and strategies) -stand the wiles and cunning stratagems of the devil. The sense of urgency called for in this book is far from Peter’s hast slicing of Malchus’s ear (John 18:10) because some chapter deal with slow processes such as healing and forgiveness. The hastiness still remains when it comes to acquisition of knowledge, the parallel of which lies in James 1: 19 (…let every man be swift to hear…). Pastor Prior broke down the basic cells of vital biblical concepts that my casual mind had relegated as too small simple to warrant explanation. Like a soldier who train soldiers, the writer marshalled his skills to equip the reader to be able to wipe-out their ignorance and triumph against our real enemy in the spiritual realm. What a privilege it still is, to have edited this piece.

Introduction

In spiritual warfare, we must first know the true God who created you and me and recognize the fact that God’s strategy always uses spiritual keys and principles and never carnal methods. And as believers we are of the Kingdom of God, and must know and practice the principles of the Kingdom of God. You will agree - its good strategy to know your enemy. It is absolutely essential that we know who we are in Christ and who our enemy is, and what his plans, strategy and ways of working are. If I ask you when everything seems to be good in your life, Who is the enemy? you immediately say, Satan, the Devil without hesitation and with confidence. Yes, you know that very well I congratulate you for that. But when dogs’ eats dogs and hell seem to have opened its door on you, I am talking about practical living, and If I ask, the same question Who is your enemy? you will not hesitate to tell me , It’s my neighbor John. It’s my brother Peter; it’s my Boss and it’s so and so in my work place names of people beings to come out. Let me announce to you this is one of Satan’s methods and strategy to get our eyes off him and his demons - the real enemy. As we are of the Kingdom of God we have authority to withstand and resist the activity of the enemy, let us do so right now, as we turn to this manual with practical lessons which talks and deals with our real enemy, Spiritual Warfare. The purpose of this book is not to read and enjoy the knowledge but to put in practice.
