    Introduction

    Heartburns are caused by excessive stomach acid leakage into the esophagus or lower throat. Acid reflux, also known as acid flow back, is a medical term for stomach acid flowing back from the patient's stomach to the esophagus. Further, the terms acid reflux syndrome, heart reflux, acid burn, and gastrointestinal acid reflux disease are used to describe the symptoms of heartburn. It is a traumatic experience that severely disrupts the life of the sufferer, especially if they experience frequent symptoms of this distressing problem. While eating and drinking, the patient must endure constant uneasiness and pain. When you lie down, the pain worsens, making it difficult to sleep. The majority of people suffer from heartburn as a result of their eating habits, while only a small percentage suffer from this condition due to their genetic make-up.

    Heartburn occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter between the stomach and the esophagus fails to close properly, causing severe esophageal damage.
