    Justine, it’s time to tell your story.

    Yeah? What does that mean?

    It means you’ve done a tremendous amount of work in this room with me, and it’s time for you to see how far you’ve come. So, today we’re not going to have one of our regular sessions. I’m going to leave you alone here in my office so you can finally write out your story. Here’s a blank notepad and feel free to use my supplies here on the desk.

    Are you sure, Cheri? I feel overwhelmed just thinking about writing my story.

    That’s the point. It’s time to just get it out and stop feeling overpowered by it all. Once you’re finished writing today, we’re going to go out in the back, burn the papers, and let it go. The overwhelming feelings, the fear, the questions, the hurt. Today, we’re going to write it all down and take what’s happening inside of you out.
