Don't Eat Cancer - Sean David Cohen
Chapter 1
Guards at the Gates
Corporations are like spiders that weave webs of poison in food, drinks, candy, gum, baby formula and lotions. Cancer’s army of webs attacks the unknowing and the weak. Among children ages fourteen and under, cancer causes more deaths in the U.S. than any other disease. Big corporations use chemicals and by-products (obvious carcinogens) that they know are dangerous because it makes them more money. It preserves their products longer or makes them look and taste better. Food company advocates argue that preservatives and other chemicals makes food safer because it won’t spoil and it makes it more affordable because of less waste. Maybe so. Maybe it translates to lower costs at the supermarket. But what is the real cost? Your health, medical bills, feeling bad. Food manufacturers put your health on the shelf, as it’s directly heading for the ultimate, incurable disease, and we just seem to ignore it all until it’s too late. In this case, ignorance is not bliss, its death by cancer.
The average life expectancy of humans right now is age seventy three. Cancer will kill sixteen percent of those people before that age; many will be children. Cancer will kill more than seven hundred and fifty thousand people this year. That’s one hundred Super Bowl stadiums full of people—gone forever.
Okay then, let’s talk about what causes this epidemic. Carcinogens directly cause cancer. Have no doubts about it. They are chemical agents and compounds that impair cellular respiration. Your cells need oxygen to breath just like your lungs. Oxygen deficiency at the cellular level breeds cancer.
Cancer is the uncontrolled alteration and division of specific cells, and the ability of those cells to invade and corrode other body tissues.
Chemicals or physical agents
called carcinogens enter our bodies, causing unnatural cell divisions and cell mutations that turn and attack our already weakened, damaged, or predisposed tissue.
Your organs are like a moth caught in a spider web, and just as a spider senses when its prey is vulnerable, so do the chemically altered cell mutations that turn and attack any weakened tissue. On X-rays, most cancer looks just like spider webs. Have you ever seen an X-ray of cancer at the latent stages, when it invades organs and chokes them out? It looks a lot like when a spider cocoons a bug, but in humans it’s your organs that get
