CHAPTER 1

PRAYING AGAINST THE COUNSEL OF THE WICKED

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers Psalm 1:1

The wicked are ready to give evil counsel. They don’t think what will benefit others, but counsel that degrades and devalue life. They trade progress to the wind. When the wicked gives counsel, think twice before accepting it or take action. The wicked need not be your perceived enemy. The person you pick as friend may be your enemy. He may be a close person to you only to get information and later use it against you. What he does next is to frustrate and nail you. He is your friend in the face, but not in the heart.

The wicked are grave diggers and designer of evil coffin that devour destiny. They lead victim’s step little by little to the grave with bad gang that carry out wickedness. At times, it is done alone. The wicked gives wrong advice to strangulate destiny and breakthrough. His counsel is loaded with errors and mistakes that bury destiny.

The silent tone of a mocker is, crucify him! Mockery is embarrassment to dignity and erosion of destiny. Mockers are unserious set of people with negative view of a person and with bad intention to devalue life of others. They crack jokes of humiliation that hurts life. They make victims feel pain and grieve. Mockery at times is taken to a peak of humiliation and disgrace. Mockers don’t desist; they do it again and again. A soul mocked is terribly hurt; it takes time to heal the wound.

The Lord says he will bless every man and woman that does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. The counsel of the wicked is the counsel of evil. The counsel of the wicked is the counsel that will push you to do evil. The counsel of the wicked is the counsel to do bad things. The counsel of the wicked is the counsel to not follow the path of God. The counsel of the wicked is the counsel that will make you fall from the top to the bottom. The counsel of the wicked is a counsel that foretells blockage of doors against the righteous. The counsel of the wicked is a counsel of wickedness to walk in the path of witchcraft.

If you walk in the counsel of the wicked, evil will be your portion. When you walk in the counsel of the wicked, cobweb power will cover your face, cobweb power will cover your hands and cover your legs as well. And you know the meaning of cobweb power. Cobweb power is very close to poverty, affliction and disgrace; so when the counsel of the wicked is taken against a person, it means one is writing letter to Mr. Poverty. You are writing letter to Mr. Bad health, you are writing letter to Mr. Stagnation, you are writing letter to Mr. Ill luck, you are writing letter to Mr. Evil to come and be your partner, because the counsel of the wicked will push you to evil power, the counsel of the wicked will make Satan dominate your life.

The counsel of the wicked will not allow you have dominion over creation. You know in the beginning when God created Adam and Eve, He said, I give you power to have dominion over everything created, but when enemy came (the serpent) with bad counsel things fall apart, Adam and Eve were cursed. The curse exposes them to uncertainty of life. If you are powerless, every plan you have will not work well, you will continue to have contour in life. It is not, you won’t have challenges in life, you will have, but you will overcome it. But when mockers form formidable block against you, you may experience challenges that will consume you, the challenge may swallow your destiny, and the challenge may not give you opportunity to grow. The challenge will ensure you are stagnant because of numerous challenges.

Hope is not lost. But the Lord says, Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. Why did he say blessed is the man? He says blessed is the man because such person did not think evil. So when you don’t think evil against your neighbour, if you don’t think evil against people around you, if you don’t think evil against your children, if you don’t think evil against your spouse, if you don’t think evil
