Thank you for coming along on this journey with me. This is a journey that I've not only been through but experiencing right now along with you. Life is full of moments that can be exciting, discouraging, inspiring, informative, disappointing, and frustrating. What exhilarating lives we live! Each day causes us to face something new. As you come along with me on my journey, I hope that some of the experiences I discuss will bless, motivate, and encourage you.

We will journey through the awkwardness of navigating through adolescence, quirks of being a young adult, fear and faith that accompany pursuing your dreams, singlehood and dating, as well as ultimate surrender to God. Whether your faith has been tested or you've been through a season of drought, I want you to know that I've been right there with you. Throughout my life, my mother used to say, You are the prize and I want to remind you of the very same thing. You are not second-best; you are the winning prize.

You are a precious diamond, but a diamond has to go through a process to get to the beautification that you see in the end. It goes through crushing, screening, scrubbing, and concentration before it is collected, and displayed. A diamond goes through a process that is gritty and messy, but there is beauty in the brokenness. You may be in a certain step of the process and don’t see the end in sight, but you are right where you need to be. You are in that step so that God can grow you and use you. You are meant to be desired, cherished, loved, and appreciated and you are entitled to have more than enough. You are to have the very best as a King’s kid. When it comes to getting the right job, dating, friendships, decisions you need to make, know that you are the prize, and any person should feel blessed to have you! When you present yourself in the way that God has positioned and purposed you, others will see that you are the prize. You are meant to shine and sparkle sis!

I do not have all the answers, but I want to share some of the things I wish I knew as I was journeying through life from adolescence to adulthood. This book reminds me of who I am even as I am finding my way in the trenches right now. No matter what stage of life you may be in, I pray that God blesses you. God is with you forever and always.

God Has Not Forgotten You!

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Have you ever wondered, when will be my time? Why is it happening for everyone else but me? Everyone around you is getting salary increases at their jobs, receiving promotions in their careers, meeting their significant others, becoming engaged, getting married, buying a home, starting a thriving business, starting a family and the list goes on! You are probably thinking at some point, when will it be my turn? I want to encourage you that God has not forgotten you! He has set you apart for such a time as this, to prepare you for your next season.

Be strong and courageous, do not fear for the Lord I am with you, I will never leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

Whether you are in school and feeling left out or alone, or in between jobs and can’t quite figure out what lights your fire, or you may be single and you feel like you will never meet Mr. Right,? I want to let you know that; God has not forgotten about you! In fact, you are in position at the right time, place, and season for now. When you surrender and give God your yes, there’s an attached blessing to your yes. He is with you in this season, even in the loneliest of lonely times, He is with you.  Sometimes God must hide you from the world and cocoon you as He prepares you to grow into a beautiful butterfly. In those hidden seasons you may feel forgotten, but rest assured God is only preparing you for greater. He wants to level you up in your next season, not have you settle for something or someone that’s mediocre or safe to get you by. Don’t forget that God’s promises are true; His promises are based on His provision for you.
