This book has revealed the amazing multiple benefits of meditation, in an insightful and empowering manner. Meditation is the internal art and science of tuning in to our inherent inner mighty cosmic power, for the purpose of developing and harnessing the capabilities of the soul, mind and brain, so as to bring about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing, in a unified and holistic manner, for impeccable happiness and fulfillment.

The book has divulged untold truths and unique insights related to the health, emotional, mental, spiritual and work-related benefits of meditation, in an engaging and uplifting manner, thus equipping the reader with evidence-based scientific facts, on the empowering and restorative capabilities of meditation. Numerous scientific studies all confirm that meditation can help alleviate stress, anxiety and depression. It can give rise to relaxation, calmness, internal peace, mental clarity, emotional stability and psychological balance. Meditation can strengthen the health of every organ and system in the body, including the immune system, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, digestive system, reproductive organs and the brain.

The book begins with a concise definition of meditation, as a natural and harmless practice, which can be used to harness our inherent mighty cosmic power, and direct it towards transforming all aspects of our life, including freedom from stress, a highly empowered brain, physical health, emotional balance, psychological wellbeing, relationships, family, finance, work and academic performance.

The book then delivers a brief historical review of meditation, in which it clarifies that meditation is not just a New Age catchphrase invented to quickly  alleviate stress and anxiety, but a  technique that had been cherished and practiced across all cultures, since the beginning of life on earth. Even though the first documented evidence of meditation is 5000 years old, meditation had been practiced long before documented history.

The book then reviews scientific studies, which have firmly confirmed the amazing multiple health benefits of meditation; including, a much-strengthened immune system, better cardiovascular health, reduced risk of cancer,  balanced blood pressure, less risk of type 2 diabetes, better health of the brain, liver, kidneys, lungs, pancreas and other biological structures.

The book then proceeds to peruse studies confirming the numerous emotional benefits of meditation. Most interestingly, meditation can help deactivate the part of the brain that triggers stress, anxiety, depression and other unhealthy emotions. For this reason, meditation is very effective in getting rid of stress. The book proceeds to review studies that have demonstrated that meditation is highly effective in boosting all aspects of brain power, by increasing the volume of grey matter and enhancing brain capacity; thus, giving rise to a super-powerful high-performing brain.

The book then reveals ways in which meditation can enhance our spiritual health, by unblocking and balancing energy centers or chakras, and strengthening the health of the aura. A healthy aura is paramount in offering us protection from  monstrous energy vampires, vicious psychic attacks, and toxic spiritual pollution. The book then reveals the heart-warming truth that meditation can significantly clean a person's bad karma. Next, the book provides a summary of the various meditation techniques, which have been widely recognized as highly beneficial. Finally, the book reflects upon studies that have demonstrated that meditation can remarkably enhance a person's overall quality of life, including areas such as work and career, romantic relationships, family, finance, academic performance, self-esteem and happiness.

A brief  explanatory definition of meditation

Meditation is the internal art and science of tuning in to our inherent inner mighty cosmic power, for the purpose of developing and harnessing the capabilities of the soul, mind and brain, so as to bring about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing, in a unified and holistic manner, for impeccable happiness and fulfillment. The concept of meditation is based on the truth that humans are inherently endowed with spiritual resources contained in the inner chambers of our being.

These inner resources mobilize and steer all activities  people carry out in their daily lives. Therefore, meditation is the act of withdrawing attention from all external objects, and tuning in to your internal spiritual resources, thereby exploring, harnessing and directing these resources towards achieving physical , emotional, mental, psychological and spiritual health, while also transforming every other aspect of your life; including, work and career, romantic relationships, family, finance, academic performance, self-esteem and happiness.

Meditation can also help develop wisdom, intuition, courage, discipline and determination, all of which are vital  in helping you pursue and accomplish your physical duties and obligations, with tremendous effectiveness and efficiency. Meditation offers us the opportunity to deliberately connect with the wider cosmic consciousness, thereby broadening our perspectives and deepening our awareness and understanding. This in turn improves the way we think and act, thus redefining our principles, intentions, priorities and purpose.

With meditation, you will capture the deepest truths of the universe, and appreciate why things happen the way they do. When the culture of meditation becomes firmly ingrained in your consciousness, you will be empowered to always do the right thing at the right time for the right reasons. This is because meditation puts you in tune with the layer of your being that is the source of your wisdom and virtues. Harmonizing your deeds with this source of wisdom would spare you so many mistakes; and prevent you from inflicting unintended suffering upon yourself and others. Therefore, meditation is the great science of self-discovery, self-exploration, self-transformation and self-empowerment.

A brief historical review of meditation practice

The solemn practice of meditation had existed since the dawn of time. In fact, meditation had been practiced even before the era of documented history. The oldest surviving evidence of meditation is a 5000-year-old wall art that was discovered in India. Around 1500 century BC, The Vedas, an extensive body of religious texts, made reference to meditation in some of its scriptures. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali summarized The Eight Limbs of Yoga between 400-100 BCE. Also, during that time, the Bhagavad Gita was written; with its edifying discussions on the philosophy of yoga, meditation, and the practicalities of a healthy spiritual life.

Between 6th and 5th century BC, different types of meditation emerged in China; most  remarkably, Taoism. During the 6th century BC, Gautama Buddha achieved complete enlightenment through the process of meditation, and became one of the most legendary cosmic scientists the world had ever known. A Japanese monk named Dosho, discovered Zen meditation while on a trip to China in 653 BC. Upon his return to Japan, he introduced the practice of meditation in his community, and actually set up the first meditation hall. Not long from then, the practice of meditation picked up substantial momentum in Japan, as so more people became acquainted with the praiseworthy  multi-dimensional generosity of
