About this ebook

This book has delivered an incredibly enriching discussion on human spiritual features, with respect to their location, structure, composition, properties, and functions. The book is designed to offer the reader rare and holistic insights into the breathtaking wonders of human spiritual biology. The discussion is presented in a coherent and well-structured manner, to ensure absolute clarity and ease of understanding. By gaining vivid awareness of these extraordinary spiritual structures, you would be better placed to appreciate their importance, commit to their wellbeing, and harness their mighty power in enhancing your life and boosting your happiness.

A possession, regardless of its nature, is best looked after and better preserved, if the proprietor thereof, is aware of the core attributes of that possession; and expressly adopts  measures geared towards safeguarding the welfare and continuous prevalence of that possession.  For instance, when we are aware that exposing iron to moisture would trigger a destructive corrosive  effect on the iron, we would take measures to avoid bringing the iron into contact with moisture. Many people engage in activities that cause chronic damage to their spiritual structures without being aware of it. This kind of behaviour is tantamount to unintended self-inflicted  suffering.

The human biologist deserves full credit, for gaining an understanding of the human anatomy; for identifying both the internal and external structures that characterise the human body; and for uncovering the plethora of physiological processes that govern the functioning of bodily features. Thanks to the human biologist, we have been brought to the awareness that the heart is a muscular organ, responsible for pumping blood delivered to all the parts of the body via the circulatory system. By virtue of the expertise of both the human biologist and the dietitian, we are aware that saturated fats are fatally detrimental to the health of the heart and that of the circulatory system.

Thus, just as the human biologist is an expert in the scientific study of the human body, so is the Divine or spiritual biologist well-versed in the biology of human spiritual features. The spiritual biologist is an expert with complete mastery of human spiritual anatomy. These Divine biologists are exceptionally gifted with an insightful and comprehensive understanding of the structure, composition, characteristics and dynamics of these fascinating structures.

By virtue of the expertise of the human biologist, we are aware that preserving the health of the heart, requires adherence to certain behaviours, including: regular exercise, avoidance of saturated fats, abstinence from lethal products, such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs and red meat.  If we adhere to the professional advice of the human biologist, then we shall always enjoy excellent cardiac health, in a long-term sustainable manner. However, if we disregard the well-informed advice of the human biologist because of negligence, obstinance, or lack of goodwill,  then it would just be a matter of time, before our cardiac health degenerates to distressful proportions.

Thus, the aim of this book is to provide a coherent exposition of human spiritual features, and the processes that unfold within these structures; so that we shall be better placed in preserving the integrity of these fascinating structures. Failure to preserve the welfare of these spiritual features would precipitate a host of mental, emotional and physical dysfunctions. Therefore, excellent spiritual health is the foundation of excellent physical health. This excellence in both spiritual and physical health, can best be comprehended and pursued, through an explicit understanding of human spiritual biology, as vividly presented by this book.

    Introduction

THIS BOOK HAS EXPLORED the subtle and fascinating spiritual biology of humans, by presenting the structure, composition and functions of the various spiritual features, which together comprise the human spiritual system.

Chapter one presents the anatomy, composition and functions of the etheric body, an important delicate body that entirely surrounds the physical body. It is by means of the etheric body that prâna or vital force is delivered to all the parts of the physical body. Vital force supplied by the etheric body is essential cosmic fuel that keeps the body alive.

Chapter two reviews the functions and dynamics of the astral or emotional body. All human emotions, feelings, desires and passions are expressed by the emotional body. Each and every emotion in the astral body is represented by a specific colour. A unique characteristic of the astral body is its quality of constantly changing colours; in line with constantly changing human emotions.

Chapter three presents the mental body, which is the epicentre of all human mental processes. Indeed, all concrete thoughts and intellectual activities are performed by the mental body. Each category of mental activity has a specific department on the mental body known as a ridge or band. There are channels that link the mental body to the astral body, just as there are channels that connect the astral body to the etheric body. Information received by the etheric body is delivered to the brain and nervous system, for physical execution.

Chapter four examines the causal body, which is a more developed version of the mental body. All abstracts thoughts and formless ideas are generated by the causal body. These abstract thoughts and formless ideas are then harvested by the appropriate concrete thoughts generated by the mental body. The karma of previous lives is stored in the causal body as seeds, which are released as effects during subsequent reincarnations.

Chapter five brings to light higher and purely spiritual bodies that are beyond the phenomenon of karma and reincarnation. These bodies transcend the human mind and function in the realm of the soul. These higher and purely spiritual bodies comprise, the buddhic body, atmic body, the monad and the logoic body. Generally, these bodies are associated with intuitive intelligence, automatic wisdom, generative creativity, boundless consciousness, unconditional love, and infinite knowledge.

Chapter six dwells upon the human aura, which is a very important feature of spirituality. The aura is a bioelectric field of energy, made up of seven layers. Each layer of the aura is associated with a specific subtle body, has a specific colour, vibrates at a particular frequency, and is related to a specific form of consciousness. This chapters also reveals techniques for maintaining a healthy balanced aura, for perfect spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Chapter seven presents the seven main chakras or energy centres. Chakras are centres in the body that contain concentrated cosmic energy, which remain relatively dormant until activated by meditation or yoga. The energy in each of these centres is maintained in a specific form, and serves a particular purpose. This energy travels through energy pathways known as nadis. Understanding these energy pathways is critical in performing acupuncture remedies. These energy centres are intimately associated with both the endocrine system and the nervous system. Finally, the elements discussed in the book are  unified by an exquisite and edifying conclusion.

    The seven human bodies

A diagrammatical representation of the seven main human bodies is presented above. The etheric body is situated next to the physical body. The etheric body is also referred to as the etheric double, ether-body, æther body, or vital body. The etheric body is a replica of the physical body, in terms of shape and size, but for the fact that it is composed of a highly refined form of matter known as ether. In view of appearance, the etheric body is a pale violet-grey or blue-grey structure, faintly luminous, with a degree of fineness or coarseness, similar to that of the physical body. According to physicists and chemists, the three fundamental states of matter comprise: solid, liquid and gas. However, spiritual biologists always maintain that in addition to these three basic component s, are four other states of matter comprising: atomic, sub-atomic, super-etheric and etheric states.
