BOOK ABSTRACT
Life is constantly moving and filled with activities. Human nature is geared toward attaining success in all we embark on, however; not everyone understands the way to achieve this success. This book is divided into three parts:
Part I: Where Ray Dalio is coming from
This portion is basically centered on his life experiences. How the activities he has carried out helped shape his personal life and helped him in growing his company. Also, in this portion there is an extensive record of areas Mr. Dalio succeeded and those where things didn’t exactly go according to plan.
Part II: Life Principles
Every event that takes places in life occurs as a result of the cause-effect relationship that exists between our actions and inactions. As human beings we are not just made up of flesh and blood, but by emotions, personality, thought processes, dreams. They all play a pivotal role in our life.
The principles discussed in this segment of the book were derived from my personal experience and knowledge I have gathered over the years. The principles discussed are outlined in three levels: higher-level principle, mid-level principle, and sub-level principle.
Part III: Work Principles
Work principles are centered on applying the life principle to an organization or work setting. For every organization to function well, the work principle must be aligned with the life principles of their members.
