    About the Author

    Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to all those who believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Without you, I would have not pushed past my insecurities into purpose. I would also like to dedicate this book to all the people who have struggled with insecurity. I want to remind you that you are more than enough, and you have so much to live for. Believe in who you are and know that God wants you to walk with boldness into your purpose!

lthough there are so many people I would like to thank and acknowledge, I want to take the time to express my gratitude to all those who contributed to my personal growth unknowingly and knowingly as well as directly and indirectly. Because of my interaction with you I’ve had the opportunity to grow from some challenging and uplifting situations that have made me the person I am today.

I would like to thank Meagan Pinkney, my friend, sister, accountability partner, and publisher. If it wasn't for you, I would have never had the courage to write this book as well as the first one. Your ability to push me past what I think I can do and believe in me is simply invaluable.

I am sincerely thankful for my friend and mentor Lewanna Harris. You were the first person who ever spoke to my insecurities and literally pushed me into my purpose. You've seen my strengths while I only saw my weaknesses. I've had the opportunity to watch you lead with excellence and minster to others with confidence and pose. Thank you for showing me what a bold and secure woman looks like.

To my family I can't even begin to list all the unconditional love, support, and encouragement you have shown me every day of my life. To my sisters Tarsha and Granyon both of you are so important to me. Tarsha I’m amazed by how you give to every person you meet. All the times you gave to me so willing not expecting anything in return has been a blessing. I admire your strength and giving spirit. Granyon, you have been my rock during some difficult days, and I appreciate you for believing in me and pushing me to do the impossible. I'm so lucky to have both of you. To mom and dad, I can truly say that you both are my best friend. I can't even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for who you both have been to me. I’m convinced that I have been blessed with the best parents in the world! I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for all the love you have shown me.

To all those I didn't mention thank you!

    Introduction

ave you ever wanted to be free from the paralyzing thoughts that plagued your mind and your actions to live abundantly in your purpose? Have you ever wondered, why can’t I move past this uncontrollable fear that people don’t see me, or do they even know I exist? Even just the pure desire to see yourself as BOLD, BRILLIANT, and BEAUTIFUL for five minutes would surely change you. Well, at least it would be a start, right? But what if you didn’t even know where your insecurities started and how they evolved and later developed into who you are and how people perceive you.

It can be difficult and almost impossible for some to see themselves as different or even move away from the saying, This is just the way I am; deal with it. But it’s NOT! God’s desire for us to live a life filled with abundance is his promise! His promises are yes and amen. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding Yes! And through Christ, our Amen (which means Yes) ascends to God for his glory, 2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT. We can rest assured in this because his word never fails.

Understanding and believing that God’s desire for us to prosper can be seen as two totally different perspectives. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jerimiah 29:11; NIV. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, understanding means to grasp the meaning of. Believing means to consider to be true or honest. In 1973, the first phone call was made on a cell phone, which would lead you to understand a phone could be used to call another individual. But do you think people in 1973 would believe that the same device would lead to being used to unlock and lock doors, turn on and turn off lights and cars, or everyone’s favorite facetime? Well, it’s the same with God; we may not be able to see and even believe that God wants us to be free from the plagues of insecurities, fears, worries, and doubts, but that is exactly what God wants! He wants you to lay your burdens down and trust him. He is the lifter of your heart. After reading this book, you will understand and believe that you can be free from the insecurities that leave you stuck in hopelessness. You will live to see your purpose as a gift to others. You are not limited by how others see you; on the contrary, you are immeasurable (there is no cap placed on who God believes you to be)!
