About this ebook
An oil spill around Isle V is putting marine life in danger. Only the vampire squids can get rid of the oil so that life on the reef can get back to normal. Kevin and the other sea creatures must make the journey to the deeper sea to fetch the squids. But how can they succeed when they must get past the bull sharks who want to eat them? They will also have to swim across the underwater vents which are teeming with giant blood-sucking bacteria. But these are nothing compared to Kevin's fight for his life as he uses up all his air and the others must find oxygen for him. Leaving Brisbane
Kevin got on the plane, and stared, unfocused, at Brisbane through the window. He was leaving behind the only life he had ever known to move to a small island in the country of Toique Nasaintru Lile, with his Mum and Dad. Although he had begged to stay behind, to live with Grandma Lucy, his parents were having none of it. They wanted their only child in Toique Nasaintru Lile, by their side, while they started new jobs with the Telecom Company. This was a wonderful opportunity for the family to explore life on a small island, and they especially wanted Kevin to experience an adventure outside of Australia before he grew up and went off to God knows where.
Are you alright,
his father asked, glancing at the sullen boy seated by the window.
I'm fine,
Kevin responded.I'm just sad that we have to leave Grandma Lucy behind.
I know,
his mum chipped in. But, Grandma Lucy said she will come to visit us as soon as we are settled remember?

Kevin's dad said with a smile.
Kevin didn't respond but kept gazing out the window, silently saying goodbye to his city, his life, and hoping that he would at least make some new friends where he was going.
At 14 years old, he had never heard of Toique Nasaintru Lile until his parents had sat him down a few months ago and told him that they'd both landed great jobs in Toique and that they would be moving there soon. He'd had to say goodbye to his best friends Milo and Cass, leave his beloved Grandma Lucy and everything
