    Dedication

First and foremost, I would like to dedicate this novel to myself. Although I have support from my family and friends, I don’t believe I give myself the credit I deserve. Secondly, I would like to dedicate this story to any individual that lives in a world that makes them feel invisible. Stay focused and determined, and you will see the realization of your dreams. Last but not least, I would like to dedicate this book to Lakyn and Zoria. I want them to know that when life gets hard, don’t ever feel like it’s over. Create your own story and put God first. We are here to break generational curses. Love TT.

    Played the Fool Before

In the year 2018, I found myself pregnant by a guy named Jaquez. When I first found out I was expecting a child, I was nervous and excited at the same time as this would be my first child. However, the reality of telling this man that I was pregnant with his child differed from what I had imagined. I expected him to be a little pissed off, but not to the extent that he was. I remember that day so vividly. I hesitantly picked up the phone and dialed Jaquez’s number.

    What? he said.

When he said that, I knew it was about to be some shit.

I sat there silently for a second, praying that his mouth did not overload his ass. Still nervous as hell but determined to speak my mind, I whispered lowly into the phone.

    Jaquez, I’m pregnant.

You would have thought that I told this motherfucker that I had killed his mother, which is ironic considering the next words out of his mouth.

You are going to have to get rid of that baby.

I am pro-life and do not believe in abortion as a form of birth control. I know that there are several reasons that an abortion is necessary or required. Victims of rape, incest, or women with health problems may find it desirable to get an abortion. I do not believe, however, in someone having an abortion just because they have the option.

The whole conversation rubbed me the wrong way, so I just hung up the phone. He called me back later, and we agreed to meet.

I looked Jaquez in the eyes and asked
