How to Use this Book
Quiet Winter Moments
is a daily guide for better life, using thoughts and wisdom steeped in Ancient Wisdom, written for the contemporary reader’s understanding. For those of you who practice meditation, Quiet Winter Moments
is an ideal daily focal point to energise and enlighten your spirit and day.
First and most importantly, relax and enjoy each day’s bit of wisdom and inspiration found within. As we wrote this book, we were inspired to a greater level for we knew the wisdom and inspiration we were sharing would truly change many lives. It is with this thought that we are so very honored to share that which was shared by our Elders. By words spoken, mouth to ear, traditions observed, or through inherent Gene’tuition® guidance, they have inspired this series.
There is no wrong way to use this book. This book is all about you, and your growth.
Let’s Get Started
Find a comfortable place to relax and immerse yourself into the exploration of ways for your own self-growth.
Since time memorial Ritual has been a principal part of infusing and embedding thoughts that change us. In reading this book, it is our advice that you create your own reading ritual. Try to have a designated time and place to read a page, and to contemplate what you have just read. It is important that you commit to this time for yourself and allow nothing to interfere or dissuade you. This habit of time and place will become your personal Ritual of the Quiet Seasons.
Stay open in your thinking to new approaches, and to always be honest with yourself. The more often you hold to your determined ritual time and place, the better your results be.
Some May Wish to Meditate
Meditation: from the Latin verb meditari, its meaning, to think, ponder, contemplate.
On page 70, you will find additional instruction on meditating, How to Prepare Yourself for Relaxing and Meditating.
)
Begin at the beginning, with small daily bites to meditate on and consider. With practice, you will reduce the negative, and increase the positive aspects of your mental activity.
Allow yourself to relax into it. Your mind will wander – that’s ok, it’s natural.
Take a long deep breath, exhale slowly, refocus and continue. In the beginning you may need to reread the daily moment to regain the focus you will need.
