About The Author
Preface
When I started to write, with a nudge and some input from the universe, I thought the book was going to be about conscious awareness development. As I was nearing completion of the book, I recognised that it had taken a slightly different direction, blending with my own healing journey and how each of these tools had contributed to that. Going back and adding to each chapter an aspect of how the topic related to my journey was like balm to my soul. I gained so much more understanding of the journey. There were a lot of a-ha moments, and the universe celebrated that I finally understood. I hope by adding this aspect, it has become more relatable to what you may gain in understanding in your own awakening or healing.
This is the journey that has worked for my own conscious development, using tools that I have applied to my life and healing with great success. They are my interpretations and perceptions of what I have gained over quite a few years of courses, books, and workshops that I put into practise to develop a conscious life and heal my own health crisis.

Introduction
We are all seekers. There are no beginners here, or you would not be on this earth. This physical plane is for advanced souls only. At times you may feel like a beginner, but that is just until you start to remember your inner knowing and find the truly amazing, infinite being that you are. When you realise that only a percentage of the population will wake up and the remaining will sleepwalk through their lives, you are more than ready for this. The forgetting is all part of the journey. Once you wake to the realisation that your thoughts create your reality and that you are not a victim of life but a creator, there is no going back to sleep. The purpose of this book is to help you find your way.
Living a conscious life is not about finding enlightenment and then that’s it. This is simply not going to happen and not why we are here. The goal is not about the destination but the journey, which takes time and commitment to creating new practises and habits, changing from the inside out. We are here for the sensory experience of a physical body on this earth, one that comes with emotions, feelings, and thoughts and senses that we learn to navigate. There are many ways to live a more conscious life; everyone’s starting point will be different, and everyone’s goal will be too. As spirit says, 3D-4D-5D are all just numbers and perceptions. Strive for the best that you can, no matter what that is.
Whether your goal is to be more heart centred, heal your life, develop your inner knowing, to readdress the direction your life has taken, or all of the above, you will find wisdom to help you within these pages. You may be just starting your journey or have been travelling for a while—it makes no difference—this book will speak to you on whatever level you need. I have included a wide range of topics all based around developing your consciousness, so wherever you are, you will find a page that speaks directly to you.
Each topic only covers a few pages. I have deliberately kept it short as more of a reference or appetiser for lots of different topics, not necessarily found in the same place. If something resonates and you want to dive deeper, this gives you a starting place. There is certainly no shortage of resources available out there. Some of the topics overlap and information can be repeated in different ways, specific to the topic. Sometimes things said in a certain way will resonate more for you, and when you are ready to hear, they make more sense.
I have intentionally written this book in a conversational manner, so forgive the familiar wording. I aim to connect personally with you, as if this book was written just for you … and if you are reading it, of course, it has been. ;)
My passion is to share. These are my truths right now, which means that as I learn and experience more, they may change over time. As we grow and become more aware, our perceptions and understanding expand; this truly is a lifelong journey.
This book has been as much about me, getting the words and thoughts out of my head, onto paper and giving me more clarity about the topics as sharing what I have learned over the years. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and awareness it has given me. It is amazing how much information we have running around in our heads.
I hope you find some awareness and clarity within these pages and hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
On a journey, every step counts,
even the ones backward.
Sometimes, we learn more from the steps back.
Be kind and gentle with yourself
and celebrate every step.
—Robyn Plim
How to Use This Book
There are several ways to use this book.
•Simply ask for the information that you need to hear right now and open the pages you feel drawn to;
•Skim the contents page and see which topic calls to you;
•Read the book from front to back;
•Or all of the above.
•Do whatever feels right for you.
This is a reference book that can be picked up again and again. When you are ready to hear more, repeat the taking action steps or the affirmations, both offered at the end of every chapter. Rereading will bring more insights and awareness as your understanding expands; we are all truly lifelong students.
The book is divided into four parts: Part 1, The Big Picture, where we discuss the broader concepts of energy and consciousness; Part 2, You in the World, we consider external influences and considerations; Part 3, The Inner Journey, focusses on personal change and making different choices; and Part 4, Transformational Tools, other tools that contribute to massive change and personal growth.
Many topics are touched on from different aspects. If you come across something that seems to have been covered already, look at it from a different viewpoint. This will bring greater depth to topics and perhaps help make more sense of some information. Sometimes simply acknowledging the topic, recognising where you are, and making a new choice is all that is required.
If something does not resonate with you, that is fine; try to dive deeper to find your own truth. Perspectives and points of view change many times during our lives when we learn more information or outgrow what we thought was our truth.
At the bottom of most chapters will be an activity or process that you can engage with. I have deliberately not gone into great depth with the Taking Action steps for each topic; I wanted you to have a guideline rather than a script. What worked for me may need to be tweaked to work for you. If it calls to you, then give it a go.
Under that will be an affirmation that can be used with the topic or just by itself, (see the chapter called Prayers and Affirmations for more detail on their use). If you open the page and the topic does not call to you, then maybe it is the activity or affirmation that you need.
Keep an open mind, and approach each topic with an inquiring mind. If something really pushes your buttons, this might be where you have programs and beliefs running. Definitely worth a second read to see what aspects have you going into resistance and reaction rather than just an interested point of view. Things that have a charge for you can be your greatest opportunity to release stuck energy and blocks. Is there a lesson there that you need to address?
Have fun with the book and see this as an opportunity to learn new things, gain a better understanding, and grow; we are all seekers on the path, no matter how long you have been travelling.
Part 1
The Big Picture
Listen to the heart; each beat is energy running,
Moving through your body, blood flowing,
The body existing within the field.
Stop, take a breath, and appreciate the body you inhabit,
The world that you stand on, and the wisdom
Available to you.
You spend too much time moving and not enough being.
Life too quickly passes, and you need to stop
and smell the roses,
Reconnect, and let the energy settle.
How can you be aware of your intuition
If you do not stop to listen and tap into your knowing?

Prayers and Affirmations
This topic has been placed first in this book as it has many instructions and how-tos that will benefit your reading of all the following chapters. Take some time to gain a grasp of how you can apply this for your best results.
What you want is already here, in the unified
field of pure potential. Everything you need to
fulfil your greatest desire is already part of your
being. But it can’t come out until you align with
it, let go of the obstructions to it, and raise your
vibration to the level at which it already exists.
—Derek Rydall
Some prayers are seen as a direct line of communication and request/demand to a higher source. They hand over their power for intervention on their behalf or are often used at times of desperation, when a perceived miracle or such is needed.
If we look outside ourselves for others to fix things, we are missing an opportunity to tap into our own knowing and power. When looking at prayers as a way to open the heart, quiet the mind becoming present, and focus our intentions, they can be used to tap into our own divine energy and awareness.
•Asking God/universe for assistance to find our own inner strength, courage, or resilience will have far more impact as we recognise that these aspects are already within us and we are already coming from a positive, empowered position.
•When praying for others, we form an energetic connection, sending compassion, love, healing energy. and positive thoughts.
•Giving thanks and having gratitude for that which is already in our lives, we acknowledge our abundance and raise our frequency, becoming a magnet for more.
The universe truly wants to contribute to us. We just have to ask for communication or assistance, whether that be God, the universe, our guides, or other. When we ask, we also have to be open and willing to receive. This is the bit that sticks some people. The willingness to receive assistance, abundance, guidance, or something else has been shut down by many people. We judge ourselves as unworthy. If you are asking, be open and willing to receive!
When we have a heartfelt request with conviction and compassion behind it, we place the energy and the vibration in the asking. To truly make prayers work for you, make them heartfelt, personal, and positive. Take the time to drop into your heart space and come from a place of love. They don’t have to be long, but make them meaningful to you. Coming from a place of thanks and gratitude rather than expectation and demand will always be a higher vibration.
Affirmations are examples of intentions in practise. Affirmations are new patterns and beliefs we are trying to install in our subconscious mind. Affirmations are short phrases or statements that are always stated in the positive. We want to focus on what we do want, not on what we don’t, because we get more of what we focus on. Positive words and thoughts have a higher frequency, which will attract more of the same, making it easier to maintain and integrate. Affirmations are written in the now, as if they are already a reality. We want the subconscious to believe we have already created this.
For an affirmation to be more than just words, there needs to be a few more things involved.
By repeating affirmations over and over, we are working to create a new positive change, reality, and pattern. Our words and thoughts create our reality, as we have covered earlier, but words are not enough. If our words and vibrations don’t match, we might be creating what we don’t want instead (for example, our words want success while our vibration, fearing failure, is stronger, so we attract failure). We have to visualise and feel our new reality align. We engage the mind to see our new reality already in place; we get the mental picture of seeing that success; and we feel the emotions in our bodies of success, joy, and happiness to engage our bodies and heart energy. We become the vibration and energy of the change. You can see the importance of engaging all the components—thoughts and words, emotions and the imagery—to actively change and get assistance from the universe.
Affirmations can be used for just about any purpose. Anything that you want to change or improve—such as lowered stress, improved resilience and self-worth, ability
