INTRODUCTION
Grain Grain
Can you imagine waking up, opening your eyes to the world, and saying thank you to God for allowing you to see another day? Before getting out of bed, you feel an external glow and internal happiness. Girl, you are feeling good! You start your morning routine by brushing your teeth, washing your face, putting on your clothes, and eating a healthy breakfast. As you take one final look in the mirror before leaving home, you feel confident. It is not because you are cocky or big-headed,
it’s because you realized something...
Today is unlike any other day.
You realize a number of things. You slept well. You fell asleep easily, didn’t wake up in the middle of the night, didn’t have any unpleasant dreams, and got up without hitting the alarm’s snooze button. You were motivated to start your day; there were no disrespectful text messages on your phone, no voice messages from anyone with a nasty attitude, and no emails from anyone with whom you had unresolved issues. You log onto social media, there are no negative comments or DM’s (direct messages) or people saying anything untrue about you. You feel good (and you look good too lol). Before you start to feel overly confident or think that you are perfect, you realize the sum of all these events is based on one thing--your relationships are healthy!
Not only that, but it is also because the different areas of your life are correctly aligned. When you look at the various aspects of your life: mentally, spiritually, emotionally, financially, and relationally, you realize they’re blossoming and blooming. They have shown so much change and progress that you hardly believe this is your life. There isn’t any stress or dysfunction. Your relationships with your family members are good. You talk to them as needed. You set boundaries and expectations for them. They check in on you, and you check in on them. You get together when time and circumstances allow. You video chat, call, text, email, and stay connected via social media. There is no turmoil; there is no drama; there is no discord. You feel at peace.
What about your romantic relationships? I know some of you may be boo’d up. Whether you’re in a relationship or not... it’s healthy, it’s growing, it’s not struggling at all. In fact, it is thriving! Situations that may cause friction or bring you to a place of disagreement are fully rectified because you utilize effective communication skills.
What about your work relationships? You walk into work feeling amazing. There isn’t anyone next to your cubicle or in the organization that you have discord with. Your workday flows effortlessly. You walk out of work with your hair blowing in the wind because you are content. You are content because these situations in your life weren’t always okay, but now they are. This is what healthy, harmonious relationships look like in the different aspects of your life.
Your money is flowing. You consistently have enough money to cover your bills and any additional living expenses because you have made good choices with your spending and savings.
Your thoughts, feelings, and emotions are in check, and you feel on top of the world. And you look great because when you feel good on the inside, it is reflected on the outside.
But wait!
Can you imagine if this wasn’t a one-day feeling but something you exuded, amplified, and
