    Introduction

Each day, most people are contending with some level of non-blissful stress or the other as they try to achieve different things and meet life’s demands. For some, it is stress at work while trying to meet job expectations or rise through the ranks. For others, it is the stress that comes with providing basic necessities for their families, building their families against biological clocks, or keeping up with children’s activities and other family demands. Still, for others, the stress is related to academic achievement, making sure papers are turned in on time, and tests are passed. The list of achievement-focused, non-blissful stressors is vast, but what is sad about it is knowing that a majority of people who live under such stress have come to believe that this non-blissful stress is a given and a requirement in living.

It has now become the norm to expect life to be difficult or stressful. If you dared utter words suggesting that life was stress-free or blissful for you, you can rest assured that someone would either look at you as one who is oblivious to reality In reality, though, although I have had the opportunity to live life at extremely stressful and non-blissful points, I have also come to understand that life does not need to be plagued with non-blissful stress in the form of things like worry, discontentment, anxiety, anger, depression and sadness. In essence, stress is not a prerequisite for life and achievement in any way.

My goal in this book is to share a personal story of what a blissful life can look like and how I went from achieving amidst negative stress to achieving my life’s dreams and more with bliss—call it peace, contentment, and everyday joy.

Before describing my life in its blissful state, it is important to note that what bliss looks like for each person will be different just as all our goals, dreams, and aspirations are different. The key is staying settled in a place where one has peace, contentment, and everyday joy as one achieves all their hopes, dreams, and desires in life.

For me, here’s what bliss looks like:
