    The contents of this book have been meticulously compiled through extensive research and thoughtful reflection on my own experiences, observations of those around me as well as drawing from some of the latest findings in psychology, neuroscience, the science of well-being, and so on.

    "A Meaningful Day at a Time’’ explores the tangible and measurable aspects of personal growth. It is a cumulative of long years of exploring and examining the mind, not only for me to overcome challenges and achieve more in my life but also to help others build a clear mindset and thrive.

    To convey my message, you will notice that simple ways are used and I wholeheartedly have faith they can work for you just as they did for me.

    This work is based on profound reflection on how our mind functions, the impact our own thoughts can have on our lives, and how we can connect with that beautiful energy within each one of us that I call the soul.

    If you are facing any kind of challenge, or want to start your life over, I invite you here to dismiss any thoughts or feelings of inadequacy, failure, or fear, or how difficult this time is, or any worries about how you are going to make it in the future. Just remember that any endeavors you faced and methods you followed, if they did not work, it does not mean you have failed; you just probably did not know what the best and most suitable approach is for you.

    You can restart afresh, and even though I am going to explain how it all worked for me, I do not ask you to follow my words blindly. Rather, I ask you to use your own instinct and your brain when engaging with the words you are about to read.

    Once you have read this book, I have faith that you will not only feel lighter and full of hope, but you will also understand why, with all the attempts you may have made before, they did not work.

    The best way to comprehend and get the most out of this book is to be receptive to its suggestions. Observe how you feel when reading it; moreover, see whether, deep down, it all makes sense and resonates within you.

    If you approach the insights I am giving you here with your heart and an open mind, you will instantly feel better. There is not much effort on your part to do, but to read, understand, and do the simple exercises as often as you can. See them as an enjoyable experience, and while practicing, just have fun.

    The idea of ‘’A Meaningful Day at a Time’’ came to me over a decade ago, when I started my life all over again. To begin with, I knew that I was searching for something, but didn’t even know what exactly I was searching for. Prior to that I was doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing with my life, only to discover that it was not at all what I sought to be doing, I could have succeeded in any of my previous careers, earned more money, or had more of whatever material things I wanted, but that was not it. It was something much deeper. I realized that I was seeking a life with meaning, a wholesome one, where success meant being in harmony in every facet of my existence.

    I also gathered that in life there is no such a thing as failure; there are only trials and errors, and we were all born to face those trials so we can grow, fully appreciate, and experience the true meaning of success. To achieve that, we need to comprehend that the primary lesson to learn from error is to never feel defeated or give up and to do whatever it takes to become impervious to our own old negative thinking as well as to outside negative influences.

    Learn to listen to your inner instinct instead and to the messages and feelings that come from within, because before you become aware of the thoughts that go through your mind, most of the times those are not even your own. You are either replaying some stories you experienced in the past, what happened earlier, or concerned about what might happen in the future, and so on.

    The vast majority of people who do not make it, or never realize their dreams, or simply don’t find peace in their lives are stuck in their old thinking or are impelled by the outside world and other people’s attitudes and views, not following or listening to their inner natural feeling or intuition.

    Therefore, if you are looking to live the successful, meaningful, and rewarding life you always meant to live and you are ready to embark on a new exciting journey, then you just found your way to it, and so in this book you are going to learn how to rebuild your stronghold and become very attentive to your inner world.

    You are going to start living each day as a meaningful day. When you do so, to learn how to be in the present moment, empower your brain with your thoughts, feel uplifted, perceive life from your very own viewpoint, and find your way to the ultimate success.

    ‘’ A Meaningful Day at a Time’’ was written after years of conducting a long research, attending seminars, workshops, and self-studying positive psychology, and all along diving deep into the spiritual world to find what the word faith entails, to understand what my own life was about, to heal, and to triumph over feelings that did not work for me, but above all, I discovered later, that this wasn’t just about me at all.

    So for those who faced traumas like I did, difficulties, or are in despair for a way out, those who think they lost everything and want to get up and bounce back again, I want to say, the process of getting closer to a successful life with meaning drawn from this book, if it helped me, can help almost anyone to recover from any setbacks, improve their outlook, and the quality of their life.

    ‘’A Meaningful Day at a Time’’ can help you find meaning in every day and in everything you do from the moment from sunrise to sunset. You can access a place within you and feel amazing. You distinguish the difference between those emotional states that take you away from or bring you closer to this wonderful place.     What is mental wellness?

    Mental wellness is a state of well-being in which an individual can cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively, and contribute to their community. It encompasses emotional, psychological, and social well-being and involves the ability to handle stress, build positive relationships, make informed decisions, and realize one's full potential.

    Although the next chapter is about the whole well-being approach, I preferred to dedicate a separate chapter to and start with mental wellness specifically because of its momentum on our whole being, and before reaching a deeper understanding of how one can attain full and optimum health, I consider it to be one of, if not the most important factor, and the groundwork of our overall well-being.

    Emotional awareness

    While volunteering as a translator and interpreter for a multilingual charity organization some time ago, something caught my attention when I went through a manual for disability living and read a report about a person who was our client then and who was in a wheelchair. It stated that he qualifies for the lower rate of the mobility components because he avoids unfamiliar places as they increase his problem with stress, etc. It made me think again about how vital it is to tackle mental issues from
