    Introduction

Holy Rivers of God, Heal Me!: A Fifty-Day Devotional and Journal is intended for all Christians who are struggling with receiving their total healing from the Jesus, Our Lord and Savior, Redeemer and Healer, and remaining healed in the Him. Why do Christians struggle with believing, receiving, and claiming Isaiah's promise of total healing in what Jesus did for us on the cross But He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins, upon Him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by His stripes we were healed? (Isaiah 53:5) More often, it is because they do not allow the Holy Trinity to the chambers of their heart, spirit, soul and body and surrender all the roots and fruits of sin.

I invite you to embark on a fifty-day healing retreat into the holy and pure rivers of God and let His Holy Spirit flow into every area of pain, hurt and wounds, and brokenness in your life. Allow the Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit permission to enter your heart, spirit, soul, and body even as you meditate upon God's word, recite the prayers and mean what you say, and journal in a two-way conversation with Jesus to let His spirit root out the following: 1) seven deadly or cardinal sins; 2) oppressive sins; 3) morality sins; 4) social sins; 5) global sins; 6) leveraging spirits; and 7) sin roots. May you swim in the holy rivers of God and find many Holy Spirit tributaries coming from God's throne of mercy and grace that will heal you of every sin that has taken root in your life. Believe St. Paul's words to Titus 3: 4-7: But when the kindness and generous love of God our savior appeared, not because of any righteous deeds we had done but because of his mercy, he saved us through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the holy Spirit, whom he richly poured out on us through Jesus Christ our savior, so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life. Yes, a baptism in water happens once, but a renewal of the Holy Spirit is on-going and crucial for our growth in being formed in Christ so as to inherit life everlasting.

In journaling, speak to the Lord, listen to Him, be still, look for dreams and visions, and write what He reveals to you. Dr. Mark and Dr. Patti Virkler explore four keys to hearing God's voice in the next section, You Can Hear God's Voice:

Key #1 – God's voice in your heart often sounds like a flow of spontaneous thoughts.

Key #2 – Become still so you can sense God's flow of thoughts and emotions within.

Key #3 – As you pray, fix the eyes of your heart upon Jesus, seeing in the Spirit the dreams and visions of Almighty God.

Key #4 – Journaling, the writing out of your
