    Since the topic of this Primer is the Holy Spirit, I thought it would be interesting to ask people the following question—Who is the Holy Spirit? So, I hit the streets, went out to the sand bar at the lake, asked at church, hit a few restaurants and used social media. Just wanted to share a few responses:

    I was told once that if the Holy Spirit truly entered a church there would be some who would be very angry. Possibly the pastor.

    The Holy Spirt: a fictional thing from a fictional book of religion.

    Meaning of Holy Spirit is Temple wind.

    He is our comforter and he will guide us on the paths of righteousness.

    The Holy Spirit is the expression of God’s love.

    You can imagine anything you want about your holy spirit for this fictional book you are writing.

    Jesus He grants blessings and eternal life with Him.

    Holy Ghost is comfort and peace.

    He is my advisor.

    The Holy Spirit is God in us.

    What are the angels then? They are spirits who serve God and are sent by him to help those who are to receive salvation.

    He is the Paraclete, the divine advocate.

    The Holy Spirit is that voice inside your heart and soul. That helps direct your choices to be the person you’re suppose to be.

    The Lord sends his Comforter, the Holy Spirit. It comes upon us during times when we are singing or praying and has tears from our souls! It’s a feeling of Holy!

    The Holy Spirit is Jesus. What he does is dwell within every born again Christian. He will lead if we allow him to, he will fill us, he will heal us, he will entrust us with one or more of the nine gifts from the Spirit. He is all things in the Spirit that Jesus was here on earth.

    According to the Bible he is our comforter.
