I again thank my wife, Michelle, for her support in the making of Journey to Future Events Volume 2. She understands my passion for sharing Christ through the vehicle called eschatology—the study of end times.

As mentioned in Volume 1, I want to acknowledge my grandfather, the Reverend Charles F. Golden (1887-1963). He was a major influence in my upbringing and brought to my attention the importance of the Bible.

I am deeply grateful to Andy Zelt who has been very supportive in my writing endeavors and has kept track of all the articles and videos in an organized fashion. In other words Andy is a computer guru! And he is a dear friend in Christ.

A couple scriptures and thoughts:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Biblical prophecy is one of the most effective witnessing tools.

Prophecies become clearer as end times draw nearer.

Volume 2 contains twenty-four manuscripts that have been completed and are being produced as videos on YouTube and on the website journeytofutureevents.com.

Volume 1 was published in July, 2019 and also contains twenty-four manuscripts which were also made into monthly videos. These books may be used as a standalone read, or you can coordinate the books with the videos located on the website.

These manuscripts are biblically based and the topics chosen by the author. Each topic is related to end-time events as spelled out in the Bible. The desire is that readers will find interest in the topics discussed, dig deeper for their own understanding, and come to the place where they will have a true relationship with God through His Son, Jesus.

There is only one way to eternal life in heaven and that is through Jesus.

Chapter

Mideast Peace Plan

We have discussed the promised land that God gave to Israel previously in Volume 1, Chapter 5, The History and Future Events of Israel and Volume 1, Chapter 13, The Twelve Tribes of Israel.

Let’s review some important events and dates regarding the promised land.

The land is described in the following Bible verses: Genesis 15:18-21; Numbers 34:1-15; Deuteronomy 11:24.

The Bible states that God granted or bequeathed the land’s title to Israel.

The Bible goes on to say that the Jewish people will return and restore the land. Read Amos 9:14-15, Isaiah 11:12, and Jeremiah 31:10. Jeremiah 16:14-15 reads, However, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it will no longer be said, as surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt, but it will be said, as surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where He banished them, for I will restore them to the land I gave their ancestors.

In 1400 B.C. the land was divided among twelve tribes of Israel (Joshua 13:8 through 17:18).

In 1250 B.C. Israel was a sovereign nation under the rule of judges.

In 722 B.C. the ten northern tribes were defeated and deported.

In 597 B.C. the two southern tribes were exiled to Babylon.

In 135 A.D. the Romans dispersed the Jews all across the Roman Empire.

From 70 A.D. to 1948 the land was ruled by many; including the Byzantine Empire (Easter Roman Empire), the Persians, various Muslim rulers (639-1099), Europe’s crusaders (1008-1187), Egypt (1187-1260), Turkey (1250-1517), the Ottoman Empire (1517-1918), and the British (1918-1948).

In May 1948 the state of Israel was formed. Israel accepted the U.N. partition of land. This miracle was predicted in Isaiah 66:8, Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.

In the 1967 Six-Day war, Israel gained East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights.

The Yom Kippur war occurred in 1973.

The 1978 Camp David Accord led to Israel and Egypt signing a security agreement in 1979.

The Israel-Jordan peace treaty occurred in 1994.

In 2005 Israel pulled out of Gaza.

Let’s check and see how recent peace plans have worked out.

In 1993 President Clinton offered his support to the Oslo Accord—it failed.

In 2000 President Clinton proposed the Clinton parameters—it failed.

In 2003 President Bush called for a separate Palestinian state which would be side by side with Israel—it failed.

In 2013 President Obama with John Kerry attempted a land for peace treaty plan—it failed.

Now in 2019 President Trump is proposing a deal of the century peace plan which involves communities in Judea and Samaria. This plan was supposed to be unveiled after the Israel election of April 9, 2019. The election is over, but Benjamin Netanyahu has not formed a majority coalition and another election is forthcoming. Because of this the deal of the century has not been presented. If it is presented, it is likely to fail.

All who have tried to create lasting peace between Israel and her neighbors have failed. The Bible has warnings to those who get involved in land for peace deals and for relinquishing control over an area or a city.

Genesis 12:3, I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
