My name is Milagros Ruiz; becoming a writer was something I never thought I'd do. My inspiration came from people pushing me into writing because I have always been so expressive when I speak. I tried so many other things, but this was the one thing I could do that no one could take away from me. Looking back on my journey here at 42, I told myself something had to give. I was looking for something that would make me feel truly complete in my heart, and writing gives me the pleasure to tell my story, my life, and my journey. I never thought I'd be blessed to do what I love more than life, my freedom to write.
