身居華府、亦即美國華盛頓特區周邊地區，不勝榮幸。這裡果然臥虎藏龍，僅各類華人的文學藝術團體便已是風起雲涌、和諧並存。
2014至2015年期間，由於擔任華府華文作協文書，按規定不得不執筆為作協每次活動寫新聞通稿，從此走進報導領域，也從此近距離見到了許多華府所臥之「虎」所藏之「龍」。2016年起擔任華府華文作協副會長以來，雖然通稿當由現任文書來寫、自己基本不再涉及，但出於濃厚的興趣與學習目的，自己同時還加入了其他一些華府文化藝術社會團體：書友會、詩友會、半杯清茶社、沈葆古籍今用課、音樂沙龍、口琴藝術團等等。或因其團體之需、或出於自己興之所至，但凡參加了活動，便時時或因邀為其寫報道、或自己因感慨而發稿；尤自2016年起任《世界日報》記者以來，更須時時帶責參加活動、書寫通訊&he
