CHAPTER 1
Two years went by quickly in the lives of Virgil and her family. She now owned ten antique shops. Three of them were located overseas. The tenth antique shop located in the corner of Isolon St and 9th Avenue in Radford City's West Point business district was personally managed by Virgil herself. She also named the shop VT Antique Shop.
She managed the shop from eight o'clock in the morning until four in the afternoon. By four o'clock, Russel would take over from her and she would then attend to her other businesses using her old woman persona. She had also hired two male staff to help out Russel enabling him to leave the shop whenever he needed to. She wanted her brother to have a normal life as much as he possibly could have in spite of their weird situation. Before, she employed two salesladies for the shop, but the two ended up fighting, vying for Russel's attention. So, Virgil decided to hire male employees that were immune to his brother's charms.
Russel had grown more handsome and irresistible to women. He had also started sporting long hair, which shockingly fitted him quite nicely. Virgil once advised her brother not to give girls too much attention to avoid complications. It never worked. Girls still flocked around him with their dreamy eyes.
Virgil and Russel always made sure they were back in the shop before midnight. Both of them wanted to ensure that when Ethan appeared, he would be ready to manage the shop which was open twenty hours every day.
Virgil had long since made a truce with Ethan. They had put aside their differences and anger in order to work together in finding a way to lift their curse and locate the demon responsible for their current situation.
She never required her husband to manage the shop, yet when he volunteered to look after the shop, she didn't object. She still remained wary of his motives though. She never once believed her husband had truly regretted what he had done. Ethan was a good actor, and he had once made her believe his lies. Virgil would never let that happen again.
Virgil had by now adjusted living her life going through three different personas. She also discovered that her body no longer needed sleep. She could remain awake all day without any ill effects on her mind and body.
With time in her hands, she began turning herself into an expert in regard to cursed antiques. She would never have the powers of the Renuncio family who could easily feel the presence of demons from antique objects, so she relied on her mind and keen observation.
She discovered that an antique object possessed by a demon had three distinctive features. The first one was its history. A cursed or demon-possessed antique never stayed too long in the hands of one person or family. It always get passed on or sold to other people. And death and disasters often happened to previous owners.
The second sign was the object being almost indestructible. No matter what equipment or weapon one would use, the antique couldn't be broken or even scratched. The last sign was the faint sulfuric smell one could detect coming from it.
Very few people could notice the rotten egg smell and most often associated it with the age of the antique. Virgil was lucky to
