Introduction
I was brought up in a Christian household, and from the time I was small I was told that God was watching me and that he would punish me if I did anything wrong.
I never felt happy within the Church and it got to the stage where I would walk away, go back, walk away, return and on it went.
It was during one of these periods when I had turned my back on the Church that I came across a book on the Goddess.
I remember taking it off the shelf and looking through it. My initial thought was Wow, I’ve got to read this
, before heading off to the till to pay.
That book was my introduction to the Goddess and it still sits on my bookshelf where I can put my hand on it. It has been borrowed by a friend who wanted to read on the Goddess for herself, and it is a book that I always find myself returning to from time to time.
Eventually after returning to the Church for a while I took the decision to walk away again.
But this time I told myself I would not be going back.
I had no problem with my choice, and knew I would stick to it.
