Dear Kate

I just wanted to write to you tell you again how proud I am of you. Going back to school at your age, even though you're only 26, is no small thing. And even though it means we'll have to be long distance for a while I know that in the end it is better for us. Going back and getting this new degree will open new doors for you and provide new opportunities for us, so I will keep that in mind on those cold lonely night this year :-)

Seriously though, I am proud of you and even though you only left yesterday I miss you already. So give me a shout (text, email, skype, whatever!) once you're settled in. Kick ass, and I'll talk to you soon.

Dear Kevin,

Nice email signature! I know you're my husband silly, I haven't forgotten yet! Although with all the cute college boys around here maybe I will.... just kidding.

The move in went well. Like I told you before, I am in an off-campus apartment, but it is a stone's throw from campus so it's like being on campus. It's an old house with four separate rooms rented out. My roomies are kind of older students, not as old as me though :-( . They're all second and third years, so like 20 or 21 or so. All girls too, so you have nothing to worry about, although they do seem like the partying type...

The girls are nice though. They promised to take me out and show me around town, introduce me to their friends and all that. So I will have a bit of a social life here, which is good because all work and no play may Katie a dull girl! Especially since I won't have you here to come home to and get it on with...

I miss you too, even though it's only been a couple days and you gave me quite the send off (and how!) I miss you already and long for your touch, again and again (am I insatiable or what?). Long distance is going to be hard, but it will be worth it, and like we said, you can still come visit from time to time :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed your send off. I enjoyed it too, and I just hope its enough sex to hold both of us until the next time we actually see each other in person. That's the worst part about being long distance, and especially so soon after we got married it's like our honeymoon phase gets cancelled. I know we've been together for a few years anyway, and it's not like we didn't screw like rabbits right from the get-go, but the sudden drop off is going to be hard, and for both of us, not just you or me. But I'm rambling. I should stop, I don't want to put any more pressure on you. Sorry.

Dear Kevin,

Don't apologize. I know long distance is going to be hard, and not being with you physically is only part of the challenge. But like we said, it's a short term pain for a long term gain and a long term benefit. It will be over before you know it and I will be back in your arms again. But I feel it too. Classes start for me on Monday and I'm hoping that will be distraction enough to keep my mind off of not getting laid.
