’m an atheist, I’m 25 years old and I have a brilliant job. I’m also deeply in love with a guy who comes from a conservative, ultra-religious, anti-woman family. He checks off so many boxes for me, and we’re talking about marriage and kids. But his parents want me to convert. Even more important to them than my conversion is their future grandchildren, who they want to be brought up in the same fundamentalist, female-subservient tradition.
