Derek muddled his way through the crowd of well dressed drunks and head over to the bar set up along the side wall of the ballroom. The dinner was over, and the wait staff worked feverishly to collect the used plates and glasses from the field of tables. The soft music being played through dinner had transitioned to blaringly loud dance and pop music.
