The car inched forward slowly as Jim and Karen tried to make their way to the exit of the shopping mall parking lot. The new mega-mall grand opening had largely been a bust, and the married couple were giving up and trying to make their way home.

I can't believe these crowds! said Karen exasperatedly as she ran her hands through her shoulder length blond hair.

I tried to warn you, said Jim, sitting in the driver's seat.

I expected it to be busy, but that was insane! said Karen.

This is insane, said Jim as he inched the car forward and came to a stop again. We can barely make it out of the parking lot it's so busy.

I don't get it, said Karen, it's not like this new mall is any better than the old one. It's basically the same stores. And there weren't any real sales to be had.

I know, said Jim.

And the crowds! My god! groaned Karen. There has got to be a law or a fire code against that kind of mob.

Well I'm just glad we're going home, said Karen as she continued to fidget in her seat.
