About this ebook

Thirty minutes later, she did not come in. Something told him to go and check. Is she still in the car? Yes she must be there. He called David, to know if his wife was still in the car. Few minutes later, David rushed in to tell him she was sleeping. That was when Mr. Ben rushed downstairs. Asthma! She was Asthmatic! Could she be having her usual attack? Could she have forgotten her inhaler? He quickly took the inhaler and rushed downstairs. When he got there, she was almost breathless. He is weeping madly, blaming himself. I killed my wife! David and her husband quickly carried her to the back seat and off he sped like a bat out of hell to a clinic nearby. Would she survive the attack? Was she confirmed dead! If he had picked her call early enough, probably she could have been helped on time. When you leave domestic disagreement to fester for too long, it leads to greater evil.

    DEDICATION

This Book is dedicated to my beloved childhood friend Uzoma John, her children and husband.

    CHAPTER ONE

Mrs. Ben was rounding up her Wednesday bible class when her husband and Mr. Jack walked in and got seated. There is no doubt that life on earth is temporal. We must all depart from the earth someday. It is only a question of when and incidentally, that can be any moment. Mrs. Ben said.

That is true Mr. Jack muttered.

Brethren the book of Psalm 103:15-16 says: As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. Amen!

            Amen the congregation responded.

1 Peter 1 :24-25 says: All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord stands forever Mrs. Ben said. A day will certainly come for everyone in which all the enjoyment, fun, politics, power, glories of life, business, wealth accumulation, fashion, beauty, and earthly possessions will come to an end. When your time on earth is over, where will you spend your other part of eternity?

    The whole place was calm.

"According to Hebrews 9:27: And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. What account will you go over with?

A story was told of a young girl that encountered a servant of God. The spirit of God led him to preach Jesus to her, but the young lady would not accept Him. She complained that she had a boyfriend that hated Jesus and for that she refused to repent and receive Jesus into her heart. The lady cried and left without repenting. Unknown to the girl, she had less than 24 hours to live on earth. The following morning someone came to the servant of God and told him that the lady was overrun that morning by a car and she died."

    The congregation was touched.

Friend, if she had known that she had fewer than 24 hours to live on earth, she would not have allowed temporal pleasure of sin to delay such an important decision of accepting Jesus and being saved. It is important to make peace with God while we still have the opportunity. Moments of pleasure of sin will soon pass away. Psalm 90:12 says: May we number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Friend tomorrow might be too late. Whatever your situation is, there is hope for you in Jesus.  Just make the important decision today: repent, receive Jesus into your life as your personal Lord and Savior and be saved. Join a believing Church today and continue to fellowship with the people of God, and serve God for the rest of your life. God bless you. Mrs. Ben said.

And bless you too the congregation responded. The bible class ended and everybody left for their home. Mr. Ben had come in his friend’s car, so as the church class ended he decided to join his wife in her car and they left for home. How was your day? Mrs. Ben asked.

Everything went well, I was able to repair my car. he replied.

Oh that is a good news my dear. Jane our daughter called while I was in the office. She said she will be home this weekend Mrs. Ben said.

Good! I hope her wedding is still as scheduled?

Yes so she said Mrs. Ben replied.

I love your teaching today, it really touched me deeply.

Oh thank you for appreciating whatever I do. Mrs. Ben replied. Yes were you able to buy me the ventoline inhaler? she asked.

Yes I did, you know I don’t forget such thing? Mr. Ben replied.

While the couple were heading home discussing, Mr. Jack and his wife were almost done eating dinner in their house. So are you saying that no one falls in love by choice? Mrs. Jack asked.

Yes, no one falls in love by choice Mr. Jack replied. Mrs. Jack nodded her head.

It’s usually by chance, and no one stay in love by chance, it always takes a lot of work. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses are the most important signs of wisdom. Manage your weaknesses and build on your strengths. Sometimes, you are mad at people over what they did, you are probably mad because they didn’t do what you expected. To be happy in life do not always assume that people will do what you expect. Mr. Jack explained.

            Mrs. Jack listened attentively.

"It is the law of nature that humans live a mutually harmonious life. Patience, love, and adjustment are all that is needed for such a life. At times it does not come that way, but for you to be
