About this ebook

Although the purpose of this book is multifold, in the main, the book is about the flagship recipe that one ought to possess in order to become a great person in life. Quite apart from the above, this book also seeks to inspire and enlighten people about a better understanding of life seasons and life dynamics, as well as rising above and beyond circumstances and the wilderness. It further seeks to motivate people to refrain from dwelling on their past negative experiences and instead to set their sights on the foreseeable brighter further, precisely because past negative experiences belong to the past and do not add any value to our present nor our future.

With the above being said, another facet of this book seeks to hearten people to be steadfast and skew more towards God's direction at all times no matter what life throws at them. The above hinges from the fact that God without man, is still God but man without God is nothing.

I would kindly like to convey my biggest word of thank to my Lord God for his precious grace that he has shown in my life. I further wish to thank God for affording me this golden opportunity to write this book and also for making the same book a reality and success.

My sincere appreciation goes to my lovely wife and kids. Quite frankly, without them I wouldn’t have pulled through this far. I earnestly thank them for all the effort and support that they have shown in ensuring that this book becomes a success. They have played a pivotal role in many ways; indeed, they have proven to be towers of strength and oases of support in my life.

I am so much grateful to my dear mother (Mrs N. G. Mbesa), brothers, sisters and relatives for the significant role that they have played in my life from my tender age to this day. My special thanks to them all, I profoundly appreciate their generous support and no matter what, their attributes will be not forgotten.

I am indebted to Bishop Bongumenzi Mbatha from Eshowe Abundance of Life Ministries, Pastor Zamo Mkhize from Pinetown Christian Centre (PCC), Pastor Z. Mdabe from Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Port Shepstone and Pastor Thornton Randy from Grace Church in Carolina, Northern America. All the above-named pastors have played a vital role in my life in many ways, especially with hope reviving messages, and inspirational and religious teachings. Truthfully, I have imported a lot from them.

I am particularly grateful to my mentor, Mr Musa Myeni (international seasoned business man). He has done a lot for me in as far as business and social mentoring is concerned. Apart from being a mentor and father figure to me, I also thank him for his constructive and mature advice, and the life teachings and lessons he has often shared with me.

My sincere gratitude goes to the exceptional book ambassador, none other than Mayenziwe Shozi (my cousin). She has exhibited a great deal of commitment in ensuring that this book became a reality and also ensuring that the book is well marketed out there. I honestly owe her my being for the unparalleled role that she has played.

Last but not least, it would really be a greatest mistake not to thank all of my friends and in-laws for supporting me in many ways. My boundless gratitude goes to them all.

My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation goes to all my well-wishers from all the corners of the world. Also to all those who have shown a great deal of interest and support in miscellaneous ways, including but not limited to, those who spared no efforts in ensuring that this book becomes a reality and success.

    Introduction

The world we are living in is so demanding, stressful and challenging and as a result, the obstacles and predicaments we often come across somehow find a way to our hearts; hence we end up finding ourselves at a crossroad. On the strength of the above, at times, we are easily tempted and inadvertently pushed by circumstances to give up on all our future endeavours. However, almost with certainty, the only pillar of strength we can safely lean on in order to leap forward with our future endeavours, is motivation.

Based on the above, this book is about reviving hopes for all those who are emotionally weary and despondent. Yet in the same breath, it is about motivating those who are constantly in a bid to pursue and realise their dreams in life. By far and large, this book also inspires the wearisome and hopeless lives, yet in the same vein it seeks to motivate those who are destined for far greater things in life. Lastly, it further encourages all those whose desires are to step into a new, improved level of life.

    01

    Be God Fearing

The journey of life is the toughest and most daunting journey especially when you are not Godly aligned. The reason why life is quite a daunting journey is because life is not merely a journey but a tough battle, and in this context the universe is deemed to be a battlefield. So, if you are in need of wisdom to conquer your battles, it’s mandatory to be a God-fearing person, as the scripture goes, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Notably, whenever you put God first everything works in His way but in your favour and all your battles are conquered before they commence. Thus, it is not a coincidence that the book commences with this chapter.

However, it is a short-sighted manner of thinking that there will never be challenges when you are Godly aligned. In fact, challenges will always be there no matter what, but what matters most is your attitude and approach towards them. The most important fact to be mindful of is that challenges are not there to perish us but to strengthen us, and also to give us new life lessons for the future. Thus, in order to gain victory over your challenges one ought to establish a relationship with God and solidify this relationship with prayer. Prayer is not for a certain group of people, but it is for anyone who wants to communicate with God or to establish and develop a relationship with God. The beauty of a prayer is in multiple folds: firstly, prayer does not have a formality or a formula, nor does it have to be paid for. Secondly, it does not have a strictly prescribed venue to be conducted, and as a result one can simply pray anywhere and anytime.

However, in as much as prayer has no formality or formula but it is incredibly powerful to an extent that it has an ability to turn the impossible to possible; on the other hand it is, in many ways, very impactful to our day-to-day lives. Indeed, prayer is the most suitable platform to seek for God’s face, attention and protection. Through prayer, we conquer all forms of battles and weapons ranged against us. It goes without saying that strictly speaking we have no reasons to bow to challenges and ordeal circumstances instead of bowing before God through prayer. So, why do we seldom utilise prayer as the greatest platform to relate our challenges to God? Why do we often prefer to relate our challenges, obstacles and circumstances to others because those people we relate our challenges to become so judgemental towards us. Frankly speaking, this is not a noble way of handling or tackling our challenges in life.

The reason why it is of vital importance to relate our challenges to God is that God always comes up with suitable solutions to our challenges. He will never be judgemental to us, and lastly upon coming up with solutions to our challenges, He doesn’t relate our challenges to others, as men often do. It is noteworthy to note that our God is not there to prevent the occurrence of challenges in our lives, but He is there to fortify us so that we can have victory over challenges, provided that we relate those challenges to Him. It should therefore register in our minds that appropriate solutions to our challenges should come from God. We should always take it upon ourselves that God’s love is way beyond being miraculous, and to exemplify this during misfortunes, dark days and trying times, close friends and at times even relatives become refugees, but God becomes a partner. So, if you don’t have a relationship with God you will be tempted to think that nobody is on your side, whereas God is there for you. It’s only that you need to establish a relationship with Him and begin to tell yourself that God is greater than your problems, and not tell God how big your problems are.

Half of the time, people tend to forget that there will never be a genuine greatness without God’s intervention in our lives. By far, greatness without God’s intervention is guaranteed to fall one day. Thus, it is always admirable and desirable to be lifted by God to greatness and success because circumstances will never ever weigh down such greatness and success. In the light of the above, it is abundantly clear that greatness and success without God is like a future hanging on thin ice. The most prime fact about God’s intervention is that He always puts you through different tests, trials and tribulations before He elevates you to greatness or success. He does this because He wants to mend your shape in a hard way as we all know that there will never be a change of shape without harm and sorrows. However, the good thing about God’s tests, trials and tribulations is that the results thereof are eye opening, and they reveal new dimensions of life, and at the same time they always leave you with new life lessons.

It is of vital importance to ensure that we always set our sight on the brighter side of things whenever we are going through God’s tests, trials and tribulations. This often affords us more strength to pull through. So often in life we tend to forget that greatness and challenges are like hand and glove in that there will never be greatness without challenges. It is for this reason that, in the normal course of events, righteous or great people of God often receive stones
