About this ebook

If you were to imagine your life as a race, are you really prepared for your journey? It’s not good to sprint through every single lap, otherwise you will exhaust yourself and miss out on several opportunities to excel. And even when your race can seem hard, did you know that God is actually carrying you through this journey? Run to God is for anyone who has ever questioned their faith during a struggle in life, and it reminds believers that every step—whether forward, backward, or to the adjacent lane—is a step in the direction of their own unique path. God has designed our lives this way, but it is up to us to follow the path of Christ. Author Stephany Simien shows us how to train for the Christ-led path through prayer, trust, and hard work, and we can learn how to get back up after we fall—and avoid falling again in the first place, trusting in Jesus in all that we do.

    A Note from the Author

I wear many hats. I am a follower of Christ, a mother, a Tia, a twin sister, a daughter, a friend, and the list goes on. Some hats are easy to wear, whereas others seem too big to balance. My inspiration to write this book was none other than the biggest hat I have ever worn—the hat of a college student. I attempted to balance so much throughout my college and graduate years. We are often tested in life, and many tests of faith can occur simultaneously. Those tests allow us to grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. God allows us to be tested throughout our lives so that we may surpass our own expectations and achieve His amazing potential for us.

I am a sinner saved by God’s grace, and I’m no different from the person reading this book. I am not perfect, but I do my best to put God first in all I do. We all need a hand to hold on to from time to time. My faith has been the greatest inspiration and source of renewal for my life, and I hope I can share that with you through the various examples in this book.
