The information went through the village like a wild fire. Beverly Connors called the hospital in Turro to inquiry on who was going to replace Dr. Cameron. He was the village doctor for over thirty years and was killed in a tornado two months ago doing what he always did rushing to the aid of the injured.

There was a little waiting area with several chairs. In the back was the examination room. Next to that was a small office overwhelmed with medical books and files.

    Hello, is there anyone here.

Dr. Wilson went out into the waiting area and there were two women.

    Are you Dr. Wilson?

    Yes.

I’m Beverly Connors and this is my daughter Crystal. She had an appointment with Dr. Cameron.

I’m sorry but the surgery isn’t open.

I understand you haven’t settled in, but her palpitations are severe. We would be so grateful for your assistance.

Owen didn’t want show his ignorance, but he had no idea what palpitations were but it did sound serious. He spent the last three years in administration complying reports and tracking
