A car was coming out of the Cartwright driveway. Chet slowed down, and the car pulled out. There was an LD bumper sticker on the trunk, so he had to follow the car. They were fellow travelers. The car pulled into a fast-food place, and he waited. A woman got out. She had blonde hair and a nice body. Chet got the spot next to her. On the side of the hybrid was a sign: Mobile Salon: Manicure, Pedicure, Hair Dresser, and Professional Makeup.

She went inside, got a coffee, and sat at a booth. He got coffee and walked over to her.

Mind if I join you.

She looked at him and was a little intimidated because he was so large. Chet was six five, broad shoulders, and had strong arms. He had been an Army Ranger, so he was all muscle.

Do I know you?

He took out his keys, and showed her the key tag. It was diamond shape with a large black L and a small red D next to it. It was the sign of the Lords of Discipline.

I saw your bumper sticker, and you were coming out of Ms. Cartwright’s place. I was with her two days ago.
