CHAPTER 12
Maya climbed silently from the bed, listening carefully for any change in Rajiv’s deep slumberous breathing.
An Indian cotton shirt was lying on the carved, wooden chest at the bottom of the bed. She reached for it, shrugging the soft fabric onto her slim shoulders. It hung down to mid-thigh on her. She buttoned it up, breathing in the clean, soapy smell underlined by his unique, masculine scent, enjoying the sensation of his clothing against her naked skin. The door was slightly ajar and she tiptoed toward it with a quick glance back at his sleeping form before leaving the room. He looked quite beautiful stretched out across the bed, the dark golden skin of his naked back contrasting with his sable tousled hair.
Memories of the night before caused her skin to prickle, heat flooding through her veins. After that earth shattering orgasm, they had lay entangled together, kissing for what seemed like hours, caressing and familiarizing themselves with each other’s bodies. She’d loved the freedom of being able to touch and stroke his hard, muscled body, covered by his satin smooth skin. She savored the power she had to give him pleasure, driving him to the edge. Fascinated by the bold thrust of his arousal, she had found the courage to touch and stroke him, allowing him to show her just what he needed from her. Her wantonness had surprised herself as well as him. She’d wanted to take him in her mouth, but he’d stopped her. His old fashioned values getting in the way, as he told her she was too new to this, moving too fast. She was too sore and tender for them to have sex again, but he’d pleased her with his hands, his mouth, his body, making her climax over and over again. He seemed fascinated by the fine, dark red hair covering her femininity, feasting on it until her body felt like a vessel of ecstasy, not able to think, or come down to earth, before he found some other way of drowning her in new sensations, leaving her mindless and overdosed on pleasure.
She managed to give him some relief as well. He was insatiable, permanently aroused. Although he wouldn’t allow her to go down on him, she used her hands and her body to take him over the edge, even though he kept telling her she didn’t need to, that tonight was all about her. But she wanted to give him pleasure, loved seeing him lose control, groaning and burying his face in her hair as she stroked and caressed him until he was weak, trembling and groaning in her arms, spilling his seed over her lower stomach and thighs .
There were slivers of light peeking through the curtains, so she knew it must be early morning, very early, as the sun rose around five o’clock at this time of year. It was quite easy to find the living room, even if she hadn’t really noticed where he was taking her the night before. The apartment was big, probably three or four bedrooms, she guessed as she stepped into the brightness of the living room with its white walls and long, pale sofas, set around a large, wooden coffee table. Modern artwork and sculptures added to the sleek lines and created beautiful focal points that immediately caught her artistic eye. The open plan kitchen was to her right, separated by a long marble topped counter with four stools, and at the far end of the room was a dining table with seating for about ten people. He obviously entertained here as well. She forced her mind back to more pressing matters.
Where was her bag?
Her eyes swept the room, finally settling on her bag lying on one of the cream couches. She needed to check her messages and then call the train station. There was one text from Jay, wishing her a safe trip and asking her to text him when she arrived. She hated lying, but hit the reply button and sent him a message saying she’d arrived safely and would text him later in the day. She saw a cordless landline on a side-table and decided Rajiv wouldn’t mind if she used it to find out about her train. Dialling Directory Enquiries, she obtained
