Introduction

What makes it possible to know a little more about Jesus Christ each day is by delving into His word every time you think of Him. Not only will this bring you into a closer relationship with Him, but you will also begin to find out a little more about yourself, and who you really are. Typically; when you make it a habit to learn more about Him and His character and attributes, along with seeking Him diligently, you will discover more than you could ever have known about Him had you simply remained in your comfort zone relying on what little you presently know. One day at a time is what God gives each of us, and so this devotional is intended to be a guide to help you grow closer to Him one day at a time. Hence, God’s word tells us that, everything is for an appointed time, therefore, with this in mind, I believe that this is your time to not only hear about Him but to really get to know Him.

Day 1

God Of Increase

Scripture Reading: So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10

God is the God of increase. Currently, this is a day when you as His son or daughter must recognize that He is the giver of all that is good and perfect. Therefore, let this day, and each day forward be spent in looking towards Him for guidance, direction, and answers to everything pertaining to life. Devote this new day to be your first day to getting closer to God, let go of the past because it has gone on, and make a commitment to grow in His word each day. You may be one who feels that you have gone through more than your fair share in life, but yet you are still alive. For this reason, let this be a sign that increase and new direction awaits you, and finally prepare to receive all that your wonderful Savior has in store for you.
