The chest of a Cardinal
The Cardinal, he teaches me how to
Immerse myself into the river of
Sacred silence.
He introduces me to the art of mindfulness
And I am contemplating

And gasping at the impact that I realize each
Person has on the other person
You do not understand
But the Cardinal does
Every sigh shared in the presence of another
A spark flickering
A momentarily insignificant reach out of the palms
Outstretched like your soul is speaking to their soul
