    Just hold on and let me explain! It isn’t my fault! Freddie Figg insisted to his mom and the security guard standing beside her. Granted, as he looked down at the two grocery store employees stuck on the floor, slipping and sliding in white fire extinguisher foam, he could understand why it might not look that good for him.

    His mom sighed and covered her face with her hands. Freddie, what are you even doing in here? she asked. You said you were just bringing the cart back to the store.

    I did! he objected, folding his arms over his chest. He wasn’t going to let her take away credit for things he had done without a fight. It was already bad enough that she didn’t want to acknowledge all the hard work he had done with the zombies. He had almost been stuffed into an oven!

    And then you were supposed to come back to the car, his mom replied, and she sounded very much like she was wondering why she even had to explain that. (Granted, Freddie supposed he could understand where she was coming from; he hadn’t exactly explained that he was going to go back inside to deal with zombies after he brought the cart back.)
