1 General Tips on How to Improve Memory
In the first chapter, we are going to discuss tips on how to improve your memory. Here are some general tips on improving memory:
Understand what type of learner you are: Whether you are a student, a professional or just trying to improve your memory, it is important to know which type of learner you are.
The different learning styles are:
Visual
Auditory
Kinesthetic learning
Visual – you learn better through images. You absorb information better when you read, look at charts and/or graphs or saw a demonstration. Instead of listening to them, you prefer looking at things.
Auditory: Hearing is the preferred method for auditory learners. They don’t like images, instead, they like things explained to them.
Kinesthetic: This type learns best when they are moving around. Instead of sitting through lectures, they prefer doing things hands-on.
To identify what type of learner you are, think back on how you feel more comfortable and you remember more easily when attending to a class, lecture or workshop, whether you absorb easily by watching a video or information on the board (visual), by listening to the teacher or speaker develop the concepts (auditory), or when directly applying things and learning by doing (kinesthetic).
