About this ebook
(Submission Trilogy Book Three. This story is part of a series. While you can read it as a standalone, it’s not recommended.)
Brayden Poshmire is a wolf shifter who’s been lying to his family for years. A master at telling lies without revealing himself, he’s let his family believe he’s a flamboyant twink who works as a secretary, when he’s anything but. Brayden is a Dom, through and through and an assassin to boot but his name doesn’t fit with who he is, so he decides to change it. Brayden now known as Dominic to everyone, but his family was immersed in the BDSM lifestyle long before his brothers ever were. Not that he’d ever admit that. So, when an adorably skittish man crashes into his life, Brayden starts to think maybe it’s time he come clean, so he can truly be the man his mate needs.
Nico Poncharelli is a hybrid with a horrible past, a past that has made him feel things about himself that no one should ever feel. The voice in his head screams no one will ever want him, not even his fated mate. So, in order to save himself, he keeps everyone at arms-length, refusing to let anyone see the damaged little boy within. Even though he’s a grown man, his mind is still that of a scared little kid who was hurt in the worst possible way by someone that was supposed to love him.
Nico has demons, demons that haunt his every waking moment and some of the sleeping ones. Brayden is stubborn, even when his mate pushes him away, he refuses to back down. Before Nico can heal, he has to face his past, will he break under the strain or let Brayden hold him up?
(Warning: Contains graphic sexual content, BDSM situations, Flashbacks *see inside trigger warning for details*, Mpreg elements, and explicit language. Not recommended for those under the age of 18.)

Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. ? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago when I decided to stop working in a salon and pursue writing full time. Since I published my first book in 2014 I have written and released nine other books with many more to come. My current list of projects is longer than my arm so I look forward to writing and creating new stories for my readers to enjoy ?

Ten Years Ago…
Don’t be nervous…it’s just a job interview…you’ve been doing the personal assistant thing for Dad since you were twelve and begged him for a job to avoid having to be around other kids so, you have this in the bag.
Despite giving myself a pep talk, I’m still nervous as fuck. I can’t stop my leg from bouncing as I wait outside the councilman’s office for my interview. The job is for a secretary position which is basically the same as being a personal assistant only with less responsibility. The council member I’m meeting with today holds the ursine seat on the paranormal council. While my years of experience working for my dad can easily put me at the top of the pile of applicants, I don’t have a college degree and that could hurt my chances even though the ad didn’t say anything about a degree being a requirement.
I could’ve continued to work for my dad but, not only does this job pay more, it gives me the chance to get away from my overprotective family and explore the things I want to, like my sexuality and desires, and the world itself. Being the youngest, my family likes to smother me. Trying to hook-up with someone for sex is near impossible with them breathing down my neck all the time. Being gay and knowing the pack isn’t all that accepting, I’ve had to sneak around when I wanted to be with someone by going into the city over an hour away.
Quick hookups in bathrooms at clubs aren’t aiding in my exploration of who I am and what I want, so I need to get away. Working for a member of the paranormal council will give me the opportunity to do just that. Avoiding some of the bullies that have made my life hell since I hit puberty for being a scrawny alpha wolf with a weak name is a bonus. I learned how to defend myself from a young age but, fists can’t fight words. Now, that I’m eighteen, I can do the one thing I’ve been wanting to do for years without needing my parents’ permission. I’m going to change my name.
I wish the council member I’m meeting with actually needed a new personal assistant so, I could travel with him when needed. As it stands, if I get the job, I’ll have to get an apartment or something so, I have a place to go when I want to bring someone home with me making it easy to split my time between here and home.
Mr. Poshmire?
I look up and see the council member’s personal assistant Tabatha standing there with her iPad.
Yes?
Mr. York will see you now.
Standing, I take a deep breath to calm my nerves and follow her to Mr. York’s office. She knocks on the door and enters announcing me to Mr. York before she returns to her desk. Mr. York gestures to the chairs in front of his desk and says, Have a seat.
As soon as I take my seat, Mr. York says, So, Brayden…
It’s Dominic actually, I’ll be filing for a legal name change after we’re done here.
Okay. So, Dominic, according to your resume you’ve been working as a personal assistant to your father for years. Will you tell me why you’re seeking a job change at this point in time?
Before I can answer, I hear shouting shortly before the office door behind me bursts open. Turning in my chair, I see a man in a prison uniform, still cuffed and holding a handgun. There’s a cut above his eye that’s bleeding and a bruise on his cheek that tells me he must’ve put up a fight to escape custody. Tabatha is on the floor in the hallway and I pray she’s only unconscious and not dead. The man charges into the room, completely ignoring me. He raises his gun and points it at Mr. York, then snarls, I told you, you’d pay.
Unwilling to give him the chance to fire, I jump out of my seat which shocks the man into facing me giving me the chance to call upon my training and disarm him. Once he’s knocked out, I clear the gun and place it on the desk. Guards come in and take the prisoner away leaving Mr. York and I alone again. Mr. York looks at me and says, Where’d you learn to fight like that?
Shrugging, I say, I was a scrawny kid and an easy target for bullies, so, I started taking Krav Maga lessons from a human instructor and trained with the pack’s enforcers when I could. Being able to defend myself made the bullies stop beating me, but fists can’t fight words.
Mr. York smiles and says, Krav Maga eh? What level are you at?
I’m two years into training at black belt level 1. Three more years and I can test for level 2.
The grin on his face widens and he says, I believe I’ve got a job for you.
Present Day
Trailing my target from a discreet distance through the busy streets of Istanbul, I prepare to make my move. Wearing a baseball cap and a disguise, I blend into the crowd. My plainness makes me completely forgettable so, if there are any witnesses to what I’m about to do, they won’t be able to identify me. I’m just another faceless person in the crowd. Up ahead, my target stops in front of a store to make a call. Knowing this is my chance, I slip the small syringe from the sleeve of my shirt and make my way towards the target. Once I’m close enough, I deliberately trip, knocking him to the ground. In a practiced maneuver, I stab the syringe into a spot behind his ear and depress the plunger injecting him with a fast-acting poison that’ll have him dropping dead in ninety seconds.
Playing a part, I stand up, holding out my hand to my target while apologizing profusely. The target is angry and waves off my help. Once he’s back on his feet, he curses at me and continues on his way. Turning in the opposite direction, I walk away, smiling when the screaming starts. Pulling out my burner phone, I send a text to my boss letting him know the job is done then I crush the phone in my hand and drop it into a trash can. Returning to my hotel, I pack my bags, check out, and get a taxi to the nearest airport, keeping my disguise in place the entire trip.
Once my plane lands at Sea-Tac, I rent a car and drive toward the paranormal council’s headquarters. When city turns to country and I’m a few miles away from my destination, I pull off to the side of the road, pull out the secondary cell phone that’s the point of contact between myself, my boss, and anyone else associated with my job, and request a pick-up. Exiting the car, I grab my bags and remove my disguise. I’ll have to get a shower before I leave headquarters so, I can wash off the concealer hiding all my tattoos. A few minutes later two black escalades pull off on the other side of the road. Crossing it, I hand the keys to the rental to one of the guys from the second escalade then climb into the back seat of the first.
Doing things like this makes it hard for anyone to track me. With surveillance cameras everywhere, I can never risk removing my disguise until I’m in the clear because facial recognition could easily give me away. So could my tattoos. That’s why this pull off is necessary. Every assassin who works for the council arranges for a pick-up from this pull off. This area is the middle of nowhere and there are no cameras in sight which makes it the perfect spot for us to remove our disguises and switch vehicles. The guys returning the rentals are always vampires because they can manipulate memories so, anyone who comes looking will only find that the same person who rented the car returned it. They also never return the car to the same place it was rented from. Some go as far as returning them out of state. Fake identities with fake addresses ensure that anyone who decides to come looking is sent on a wild goose chase.
Ten years ago, I came into the paranormal council building hoping to get a job as a secretary. Instead, I got myself recruited to the council’s team of assassins and now, being a secretary is my cover instead of my actual job. Over the years, I continued my training in Krav Maga, and underwent other training as well, from using different weapons and building explosives, to lying without changing my scent and being a master of disguise.
Early on, one of my jobs had me going undercover in a kink club to scope out a target. It was there that I discovered my true self. When I returned from that job, I got a membership to a kink club near my apartment in Seattle and spent my free time training as a Dom
