About this ebook
(Snow and Hail is a short story with the instalove of fated mates. It’s loosely based on the tale of Snow White and is part of a series. While it can be read as a standalone, it would be more enjoyable if you read the other books in the series before this one.)
Former assassin turned baker and pastry chef Vernon T. Judd aka Hail, is a crocodile shifter who loves making sweet confections for people to enjoy. Now that he’s retired, he spends his days doing just that in his bakery while longing for the day he’ll meet his mate. When an old employer contacts him about an unconventional job even though he’s retired, Vernon decides to turn it down. However when the details of the job are revealed and Vernon learns one of the targets is a loyal customer he changes his mind about saying no.
Snowden Alver is an ice dragon shifter who loves his job and practicing martial arts. Now that he’s been made an equal partner in the company, his responsibilities have grown from what they were when he acted as Beau’s assistant. Despite his increased workload, Snowden still makes time to enjoy his favorite sweets from the bakery run by a chef he’s watched from afar since the bakery opened. A death in the family brings about another life change but unbeknownst to Snowden, it also places a target on his back.
With a sinister enemy who’ll stop at nothing to see Snowden dead, these two men will have to work together to keep them both alive. Will they succeed and find their way to a happily ever after or will their journey end in tragedy before it’s really begun?

Ezra Dawn
Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. ? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago when I decided to stop working in a salon and pursue writing full time. Since I published my first book in 2014 I have written and released nine other books with many more to come. My current list of projects is longer than my arm so I look forward to writing and creating new stories for my readers to enjoy ?

Two Years Ago…
I tug at the collar of my shirt and shift from foot to foot. The tuxedo I’m wearing is stuffy as hell and I’d kill to get out of it. It’s hotter than Hades and I’m sweatier than the devil’s ball sack. If I have to stand here much longer, I might pass out. As the only ice dragon in the family, I can only stand in the heat so long before I need to use my dragon’s magic to cool off or I’ll get heat stroke. Since I’m standing in front of a ton of people who are also sweating as much as I am, I can’t use my magic the way I want to. Conjuring a mini snowstorm over my head is always a quick cool down method when I’m this hot.
My older brother Calvin who is standing beside me, leans over and whispers, Stop fidgeting.
Glaring at him, I whisper yell, I can’t help it. It’s hot and I feel like I’m suffocating. Why the fuck did dad let Marilyn decide full formal wear was a good idea for a beach wedding in ninety-degree weather?
Calvin rolls his eyes, You know dad’s motto. Happy wife, happy life. What Marilyn wants, Marilyn gets.
I snort. He’s not wrong. I can’t believe dad is marrying this woman after only knowing her three months. It doesn’t make any sense. I mean, I’m a big believer in the ‘when you know, you know,’ sentiment but nothing about this relationship feels right. It hasn’t from the beginning since dad brought Marilyn to our weekly family dinner for introductions. She was perfectly put together, polite, and made an effort to get to know each of us. However, her eyes never showed the emotion her face did, and I know I wasn’t the only one who picked up on it.
Everything about Marilyn screams fake from her appearance to her personality. Add in the quick jump into marriage and we’re all a little skeptical. The fact dad waited to introduce her to us until they were already engaged has rubbed me and my brothers the wrong way for the last month. During the course of the wedding planning all eight of us boys did our best to try and convince dad not to go through with this, to wait a little longer and really get to know Marilyn but he wouldn’t hear of it. Dad is completely under Marilyn’s spell and if I didn’t know she was human, I’d think she dosed him with a love potion. I can only hope he’s not making a huge mistake.
Just when I’m about to say damn the consequences of using magic in front of humans that aren’t in the know about our world, the wedding march starts, and we all turn to watch Marilyn walk down the aisle. When she reaches dad, he beams at her, looking almost as happy as he did when our mother was still alive. I say almost because his smile isn’t quite as bright as it was when he looked at mom. I zone out during the preacher’s speech and only tune back in when everyone around me starts cheering congratulations as the couple are introduced as Mr. and
