Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. Three Months Ago…

Lifting my camera, I begin snapping pictures of the man who just exited the bar with a woman who isn’t his fiancée draped all over him. His fiancée came to us a week ago and asked us to investigate. I own a private security and investigation company in LA that caters mostly to the rich elite. However, if someone who can’t afford our normal rates comes to us with a problem, I’ll foot the bill myself. Money doesn’t matter to me. As a dragon shifter who’s been around for a long time I’ve amassed quite the horde and the success of my business has only added to that.

When this man’s fiancée came into the office begging us to investigate, I was going to say no because I didn’t have anyone available to take the case. However, it was when she mentioned the sheer amount of money he’d blown through in the past few months leading up to their wedding combined with the amounts that had been transferred from her account to an unknown account were what made me take this case on myself. I’ve gone through training in order to be able to do the same jobs my men do in case of an emergency where they’d have to be replaced by someone and I couldn’t spare anyone.

This man is supposed to be getting married in a week yet, here he is screwing around on the woman. Shaking my head, I continue to snap picture after picture of what they’re doing in the alley next to the bar. Magic makes my camera the best there is. It doesn’t matter if it’s dark as fuck with zero visibility my camera will take pictures so clear it’s as if they’d been taken during the day.

I had enough pictures to close this case two days after I took it on but, I wanted to give my tech guys the chance to track down all the money her fiancé has stolen from her and get it back. I employ hackers so good they make the alphabet agencies jealous. Not only did they get the money back but, they cut off her fiancé’s access to her accounts and canceled his cards according to the text message I just received.

I imagine he’ll be in for a rude awakening when he goes to pay his tab tonight. I know his routine since I’ve been following him for a week and after a quickie in the alley, he’ll go back inside order a few more drinks then pay his tab and head home. Now, that I’ve got word all the money has returned I can wrap this up. I keep taking pictures until they go back inside the bar then I grab my iPad and insert the memory card from my camera into the card reader I plugged into the charging port.

Once I’ve downloaded all the pictures from tonight and added them to the file on my Dropbox that’s shared with my staff so, they can add their own findings to the files, I start the car and drive towards Miss Peters’ house. Normally, I meet with a client in person at the office to hand over my findings -if there’re any- but since my hackers canceled her fiancé’s cards and cut off his access to her cards I want to make sure she’s not alone when he confronts her.

I didn’t know it at the time, but that decision was the spark that ignited the flame of revenge in a psychopath’s heart.

Striding into the meeting room, I apologize to my staff. Sorry I’m late everyone. I had trouble with my car this morning. Trouble my ass. There isn’t a word strong enough to describe the shit I had to deal with this morning. Not only was my car vandalized again last night but, I had a dead raccoon nailed to my front door with a knife and yet another death threat written in the poor animal’s blood. Because of that, I spent the morning dealing with the police and filing another report. They’re investigating but, sadly there’s not much to go on. My security feeds only show a man dressed all in black who hides all his identifying features.

I’ve received threats before because of the job but, none of them have ever escalated to this point. I’ve had to upgrade my security at my house and stop driving to the clan house because I don’t want to risk leading whoever is after me straight to them. It wouldn’t be good if they found out about paranormals. If they were and started threatening the people I consider family I’d never forgive myself. So far, the threats are only targeting me and I’m hoping it’ll stay that way. The threats were originally being mailed to the office but, the day I got one on my doorstep I knew if I kept going to clan lands I’d be followed there too, and I couldn’t let that happen.

As the clan’s beta, our people come to me first with any problems they’re facing, so I can decide if it requires Price -my best friend and clan alpha- to intervene or if it’s something that can be easily fixed.
