Quilo Whittaker is an abominable snowman shifter who loves to travel. His father is the alpha of their tribe and very old fashioned. Both of his parents share the same ideals. When Quilo expresses an interest in men, his parents make it their mission to see him married off to a woman they choose while he keeps a male lover on the side. However, Quilo isn’t that kind of man, which leaves him with only one option. Find his fated mate before he’s forced to marry a woman.

Riguo Santos is a rattlesnake shifter and the alpha of his pod. He lives in Death Valley and has a love/hate relationship with his car, Pumpkin. She’s a classic that needs a lot of work which is how he ends up stranded on the side of the road while on his way to an annual meeting of Alphas from the entire United States. Instead of walking the road and getting to the meeting hall safe but late, Riguo takes a shortcut, only to get himself caught in the middle of a snowstorm.

Neither of them have any issues with being mates and dive head first into their relationship. However, there are still obstacles ahead. Will Quilo and Riguo be able to face what’s coming and come out on the other side unscathed or will the people working against them succeed in severing the tie that binds them together?

Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. ? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago when I decided to stop working in a salon and pursue writing full time. The beginning of this story was part of Stormy Glenn’s Winter ManLove series of 2017. The rest of the story after chapter five is entirely new although some new bits have been added to those beginning chapters as well.

I don’t see what the problem is son. We’ve presented you with several choices. All of them likable and good matches yet you refuse to choose one.

I’m waiting for my fated mate.

My father rolls his eyes and slams his fist on his desk. Hogwash. No one in our village has found a fated mate in centuries. You’ll be no different. If you don’t choose your mate yourself, your mother and I will do it for you.

Go right ahead and choose. I still won’t mate with her. You can’t force me either.

I’m the alpha here and you will do as I say.

Standing from my chair, I say, No father. I won’t. You give me the time I need to find my fated mate or I’ll leave this village and set myself up somewhere else.

Fine. I’ll give you until the New Year. If you don’t find your fated mate by then you’ll mate with the woman, we choose for you.

You know how I feel about women.

"I don’t care. You’ll mate with a woman and that’s final. As for your urges, well, you’ll have to look elsewhere."

"You’re saying I should mate with a woman but keep a lover on the side for when I feel the need to be with a man."

Exactly.

Fuck you. I’d never do that, and you know it.

Don’t take that tone with me boy. You forget your place.

"No. I know my place but if you force me on this, you’ll know yours."

Turning on my heel, I stalk out of his office and send a quick prayer to the fates to send me a mate soon. I have morals and my father knows it. Even though I’m gay, if I’m ever forced to mate a woman, I’ll remain faithful. Which is a sad fucking thought, but I don’t want to be that guy. I’ve experienced cheating before in past lovers and despite not being capable of loving a woman the way my parents want me to, I’ll never inflict that kind of pain on someone else.

As I walk through the door of my home, I take one last look at the sky and pray.
