About this ebook

Sequel to The Sheikh's Secret Princess and The Sheikh's Hired Love...

Four lives hang in a dilemma as something dark from the past comes knocking on their doors.

The wolf clan of Amuntara has a new member. A she-wolf! Previously a human, but converted by the chief of the tribe himself, Shabnam doesn't recall the accident that happened with her. She's muddled and confused by her situation, not to forget the attraction she shares with the chief of the tribe. Sheeba, her wolf is more like her councillor then her friend. Her memories of her past life are not sharp enough.

Sheikh Imran of Amuntara has just lost his mate and his unborn. The destiny is drilling him all the way as he transplants the heart of his dead mate inside the human and changes her to a she-wolf. Imran knows who she is and still hides it from her. So, it's a shock to him when Shabnam decides to run away from the tribe after coming to know about it through her wolf.

A pregnant she-wolf, a sheikh who doesn't want to give love another chance and a Dom-Sub couple who are going through their own ups and downs...

Will there be a happy ever after or things will be complicated further?

    Present Day

    State of Amuntara

    Evening time…

I get up with my head throbbing like hell. Opening my eyes, I look into the face of the woman bending over me. She is pressing something on my neck. There is a strange pain all over my body.

Don't get up girl. Stay low. You need to rest.

    Who are you?

    The healer,

    Healer?

The woman smiles at me. I am confused than ever.

    Where am I?

    Amuntara.

    Amu-

    The wolf clan state.

What? I stare at the lady. I’m dreaming. In a minute I’ll be up and…

    Who-who am I?

She looks at me and it’s then that I notice her face. Beautiful yellow eyes, a mouth pulled in a little smile and…something else is there on her face.

Are those-are those the marks of claws?

The lady turns to me finally fully, removes her headdress and turns her other side to me. I’m taken aback. Her cheek has been brutally clawed.

It’s not what you think it is.

    I’m sorry?

These marks are given to me by my mate. It’s nothing for me to be shameful about. In our tribe, we wear the marks of our mates with pride.

    Your tribe?

As I said previously, you are currently in the wolf tribe. And now, before you question me further, you should take your medicine and go back to sleep.

But you didn’t tell me who am I?

You’ve lost your memories, she says in a whisper. I thought these two months might help you in regaining them.

    Two months?

    Before you were conscious,

I’ve been unconscious for two months?

No, the lady hesitates, Actually, you've been unconscious for the whole of six months.

Six months? my voice almost reaches to its top. Is she joking?

When Imraan got you here all of us thought that you're dead. But I guess Jannat's heart must be too strong to keep you alive.

I am not getting even a single word, I shake my head.

Shaivi! that feminine voice stalls the lady and makes my head turn towards it. The lady standing on the door is just drop-dead gorgeous and has bad-ass written on her face.

My lady! Shaivi gets up quickly. Fear is there on her face. The badass girl looks at me again and turns back.

    Next Day

    State of Amuntara

Clouds are gathered in the sky. Somewhere an owl hoots. Sheikh Imraan-al-Sahi looks at the wise bird before the bird takes off from the branch. There is a soulful silence all around him. He doesn’t want to shake either of it. Neither the silence nor the pleasurable pain inside his heart and head.

Bare-chested, now and then feeling the small drops of moisture on his skin as the rain starts falling outside, he closes his eyes only to have that image again in his mind.

    His Jannat!

Thankfully he is inside his room. He doesn't want to show anyone his tears, pain or sorrow. When the divine power of heaven has taken his life away from him, than just living as a corpse feels like the only way to keep his sanity intact. Imraan wasn't always like this. The kingdom of Amuntara was once a land of hope, chances and love for him. And it was all due to his late wife, Jannat!

The centre of his universe, the reason why he survived the transition of becoming a wolf and the reason she was about to add to his life. His Jannat was pregnant when the accident happened.

Opening his mouth, looking towards the sky he utters a huge cry of heartbreak towards heaven. Why? Why did this happen with him?
