Chapters of Completeness
()
About this ebook
We encounter many chapters on our path way to completeness, including the birth of a child, death of family/friends, career challenges, and relationships failures. Within these chapters, there are words that bring meaning and purpose to our lives-words like acceptance, disappointment, happiness, and evolving. They help us thrive and grow in God, but we often reject them because of the trials and tribulations we experience in and through them. When we understand these words though and apply them to our lives, we are able to accept our flaws, embrace our past and move forward into the future God has called us to. So reach for that mark of greatness through these words and you'll become a chapter of completeness for the world to see.

Chapters of Completeness - Lakeisha Brown
Dedicated to my daughter Alicyah A. Brown
and in Loving Memory of Leon Alfred McCray III
Introduction
We must go through many phases in life in order to understand our purpose and why God has destined us to transform into His image and sent forth his message to the world. Within those phases of life, God will bring forth words that we may not understand, but while lacking understanding, He will give us the ability to learn as we continue to walk on our journey of becoming complete. As the words begin to take precedence in our lives, each word will give new meaning to who we are and who we will become in Christ through the shedding of their meanings.
Each word and its meaning will give us the definition of what our purpose is and how we should thrive and grow in life to be wonderfully made within God. It will teach us the art of transforming and manifesting into the will of God so that we can be a light to others as we bring forth a message of restoration, peace, and joy from God in order to live a life filled with happiness. For when we have found that happiness, that is when we begin to embark on greatness and continue on our journey of becoming complete and whole within the chapters we face each day.
In the end, God’s message and manifestation of his work will begin to be that victory that will come to pass for everyone else to see. We will be able to bask in our newness of being happy and complete. For our chapters in life is what keeps us grounded and gives us the ability to understand those newly defined meanings exhibited through those chapters we encounter in life. For completeness is when a chapter is understood and unfolds into happiness on our journey in life. So join me on this chapter of completeness through the meaning of words to find the newness of God and our purpose of becoming great.
My Story to a Chapter of Completeness
On March 14, 2004, while in Florence, South Carolina, I began to write in a journal with my first entry entitled The Vision.
The Vision
was derived from the scripture Habakkuk 2:2-3. The verse told me to, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
This allowed me to understand that everything I was writing was preparing me for my journey ahead. Each year, I would title my journey and illustrate how thankful and grateful I was for all the things good and bad that took place in my life and add the location from where I was writing. On May 30, 2007, I titled my journal entry, My Book would be entitled: A Journey of Unfamiliarity, To A Chapter of Completeness
while I was in Charlottesville, Virginia.Writing about my first book showed me how my past had formed and how the works of God was placing me in the pathway of unfolding into a chapter of completeness through the countless journal entries I had written over a fifteen-year timespan. With each entry in my journal, I saw how God was preparing me, my family, friends and all the special people in my life for how everything would come to past in his timing.
Time passed and on November 28, 2015,a chapter of completeness was re-introduced back into my life. I was brought back to the time when I lost a dear friend of mine, Leon Alfred McCray III. He was a true definition of what motivation looked like and how you must keep going in life even when you want to give up. Leon showed me how you should not complain in lifebut aim to be happy in every aspect of the word.No matter how hard things got for him, he never complained. He believed instead that regardless of the circumstances, we had to keep going and be that person God destinedyou to become. His wisdom, knowledge and how he carried himself spoke without him ever uttering a word. His presence showed you that though life brings us different circumstances, always believe in its process and enjoy each moment without any complaints, but leave you marked so that victory will be gained. As I processedLeon’s message, it gave me the strength to push through every obstacle I faced on my journey, knowing I had people in place like my family members, Leon's family, true friends and the love of my life, my daughter Alicyah, to help me along the way.
––––––––
Throughout the years I've asked myself, what is completeness? Many may say completeness is defined as something being finished. To me, completeness allows one to accept their flaws, embrace the past, and look forward to the future. Going through life making mistakes, failing, encountering disappointment, listening to others’ stories and failures and yet still being happy and successful, introduced me to the art of what completeness is derived from.
The art of completeness is birth through growing, maturity, evolving, and happiness. There are many pieces in life that keep us puzzled and always wondering how, when, where, and will I ever find that completeness. Without storms, rain, failures, disappointments or trials and tribulations, how does one truly embrace the art of being complete and happy in the end?
We travel each day on this journey called life to explore, learn, grasp and open up new doors to our own beginnings. We know on our walk that God has already predestined greatness on our lives, but what are we doing as an individual to embrace and bring forth what has already been forecast for our lives? How are we manifesting into who we shall become in life through the meaning of completeness?
Completeness is when you can look at all the puzzles and pieces in life and begin to understand that your course of life is a maze and that it takes true skill and craft to connect all the scattered pieces. We often search for others to complete our journey, not knowing that they are only there to either teach us or depart from us. We embark on different seasons in life and sometimes they’refilled with happiness or sadness, but through it all, they’re part of our growth and maturity, evolving and becoming happy while leading to completeness.
I've learned that sometimes God allows storms and rain to come into our lives only to lead us to a higher calling. If we waver not, his grace and mercy will sustain us to continue to grow and develop while guiding us on our pathway in life. Our pathway starts with us and keeps us from leaning not to our own understanding. In return gives us the divine joy at the end of our journey.
When the weight of the world begins to consume you, know that God has already placed his angels beside you to lead and guide you. Storms come to prepare you for your destiny waiting ahead. Rejoice
