LOVES Lost, Learned & LAST - Sandra Hodge-Hampton

    SECOND

    Love Lost

    Chocolate Melt

    Chocolate melt

    now milk

    flowing, moving

    turning, loving

    rich passion

    mixed beauty

    surprise

    High riding

    Hot pacing

    embracing

    tasting

    Chocolate melt

    now milk

    flowing, moving

    loving, turning

    touching, sliding,

    kicking

    fingertip licking

    kissing

    breathing

    seething

    reeking

    Chocolate

    breaking

    melting

    heart piercing

    singing

    love ringing

    fleeing

    resistance....

    Gone.

    UNREQUITED

Where are you when i cry

When the world has caved in

    on me and crushed bones

    i use to walk with

where are you when i cry

    when streams of pain that

burn my eyes, strip my face

of flesh i use to smile with

    where are you when my

    trees of thought wither

    because all my oxygen

    supplied your roots

where are you when i stand

    tear stained and naked

in the cold of life, begging for

    the tenderness of true

    love.

    STILL WATER

    I have loved you

    half my life but

    with all my heart

    Yet

    All my love and

    all my heart is not

    enough to quell the

    fire of your torment.

I refuse to believe my prayers

for you have fallen on deaf ears

and I pray for you still, knowing

God is listening and His mercy sure.

The inward journey you have now must

be taken alone but need not be lonely.

Take with you love, patience, open-ness,

    faith and above all FORGIVENESS.

Let these virtues be strong soldiers in

your battle against the fear disguising

itself as achievement and stealing your trust.

You have within you the strength and the courage

to release past pain, anger and un-forgiveness.

    Life is what you choose

    you must find peace...

    or rest in it.
