EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

In any emergency the best defense is to be prepared. When there are warnings about the weather, earthquakes or other planned or unplanned disasters, most of us try to be alert and take action immediately.

If we are in a marathon or some other competitive competition, we get prepared for the event we undergo a transformation of our bodies and our psyche to ensure a worthwhile effort amongst other competitors; with a mindset on winning or at least finishing and not give up.

1 Corinthians 9:24, 25: Do you not know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may attain it. Moreover, every man taking part in a contest exercises self-control in all things. Now they, of course, do it that they may get a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible one.

Heb 12:1: "So, then, because we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance
